The 2020 IFBB New York Pro is going down this weekend. Ahead of the contest, top athletes Patrick Moore, Antoine Vaillant, and more are primed and looking ready to put on a show.
Although the New York Pro is not going down in New York this year, there is still a ton of excitement around the event. The global pandemic forced the event south, to Tampa, Florida, but there is still going to be a big turnout of top tier talents taking the stage. This has made for an exciting buildup, as fans try to inspect the various physique updates from the athletes to determine who will walk away with the victory and invitation to the 2020 Mr. Olympia.
Update: 2020 New York Pro Results
Considered to be one of the favorites for the New York Pro, Antoine Vaillant has been hard at work lately. He has been posting tons of updates to his Instagram, documenting his prep and return to competition. It would seem that he is going to be a tough one to beat, come Saturday.

If there is someone who is going to be a tough opponent for Antoine Vaillant, it is Patrick Moore. The Olympia vet has faced some criticisms for his size over the years. However he seems to have bulked up a bit in preparation for this show, and is set to bring a new package to the stage.
That being said, the New York Pro is far from a two man race. Former 212 Bodybuilder Dwayne Walker made the move to Open competition earlier this year, taking third at the Tampa Pro. Making a relatively quick turnaround, he is competing again in Florida, and looks ready to continue his momentum.
Aside from these three giants, another person of interest at the New York Pro is the 29-year old Canadian Iain Valliere. 2019 was a big year for Iain, and he has been hopeful to add to his already respectable resume. If successful here, this would be the first win in a major show for the young athlete.
There are a lot of young guns looking to be victorious at the New York Pro, but there are also some veterans looking to maintain the relevance in the sport. Maxx Charles will be 40 years old when he hits the stage this weekend. Yet nobody seemed to have told him that, because be seems to be in tremendous shape.
Maxx Charles isn’t the only crafty veteran trying to outshine Antoine Vaillant Iain Valliere and the other youngsters. At 50 years of age, Jon De La Rosa will be competing at his sixth New York Pro. If his training is any indication, he is not letting his advanced age deter him at all. Plus he wants to have a pool party after the event, and has invited everyone to attend.
There is a lot to like about the 2020 New York Pro. All of these guys have been grinding to prepare for this show, and this is not even half of those who will be attending. It is going to be a great contest, and it will be fascinating to see who wins. The event goes down this Saturday, September 5th, with prejudging beginning at 8am (ET).
