Open Bodybuilder Nick Walker is ready to make another statement when he’s back on stage. On March 3, 2025, he shared a brutal leg workout in preparation for the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro.
Nick Walker‘s on a mission to one day win the Mr. Olympia title. For the past two years (2023, 2024), he was forced to sit out of the major event, once due to a hamstring and calf injury and the other because his body wasn’t properly responding to prep.
In that time, Walker watched two new Mr. Olympias emerge while he sat on the sidelines. In 2023, Derek Lunsford cemented himself as the sport’s first two-division Olympia winner. A year later, Lunsford was unable to successfully defend the honor, leaving room for Samson Dauda to become the 19th athlete to claim the Sandow trophy.

With 11 weeks before showtime, Walker revealed in a recent YouTube video that he’s tipping the scales at 295-297 pounds. Although his food intake has been reduced by coach Kyle Wilkes, he explained that he’s still enjoying quality pumps. He’s currently hitting cardio training for 30 minutes six days a week.
“Finished up legs. Saturday will be 11 weeks out from Pittsburgh. Weight hasn’t moved too much, we’re still floating around the 295-297 mark.
Strength is still relatively high. Kyle did take the food down a little bit, nothing too crazy. Pumps are still really solid. Cardio is still 30 minutes six days a week, nothing crazy,” he shared.
Despite minimal changes to his prep, Walker was happy to report that his body composition is starting to change.
“We haven’t changed, but the body is changing composition-wise, slowly but surely. We’re going to have fun. We’re going to enjoy it.”
In his last contest, Walker earned gold at the 2024 New York Pro against Martin Fitzwater. To qualify for Olympia this year, Walker threw his name into the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro, which is set to showcase the Men’s Open class for the first time.
Walker will rematch Fitzwater at the upcoming Pittsburgh Pro. In addition, Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek has expressed interest in competing at this event, as well as mass monster Vitaliy ‘Good Vito’ Ugolnikov. Should Walker find success in Pittsburgh, he’ll qualify for the biggest show of the year, slated for October 9-12 in Las Vegas.
