Bodybuilder Samson Dauda plans to make another statement at his next contest. In a recent YouTube video shared on December 10, 2024, he pushed through an intense superset back workout ahead of the 2025 Arnold Classic.

Samson Dauda came into his own in the IFBB Pro League when the pressure was at its highest. Many thought the 2024 Mr. Olympia would center around a rematch between Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan, though it turned out to be Samson Dauda’s night.

He became the 19th athlete to earn the prestigious Sandow trophy, and instead of sitting back to enjoy the fruits of his labor, he got right back to work, announcing his participation in the 2025 Arnold Classic, which is set to award $500,000 to the Men’s Open Bodybuilding winner. The competitors list was just revealed and Dauda will have to once again defeat Derek Lunsford on stage to achieve his second Arnold Classic title, having won the honor back in 2023.

Find the exercise list below:

  • Seated Cable Rows – Superset A
  • Lat Pulldowns – Superset B
  • Bent-over Row Machine – Superset A
  • Cable Pulldowns – Superset B
  • Hammer Strength Iso-Lateral Pulldown Machine
  • Rack Pulls

During the workout, Dauda utilized supersets. They add extra intensity to a workout, are time efficient and burn extra calories due to minimal resting periods. ‘The Nigerian Lion’ utilized this training system throughout his 2024 Mr. Olympia preparations, which seemingly paid off. Dauda revealed that food cuts have already taken place as part of preparations for the 2025 Arnold Classic.

“Back session done, 13 weeks out from the Arnold Classic. Prep is fully on the way. Food cuts are already happening. I’m still feeling good.

My energy isn’t low yet but that’s definitely happening. We are 13 weeks out and this is going to be the most interesting prep we’ve ever done.”

He revealed he’s opening his gym soon as well.

“I’m going in as a Mr. Olympia into the Arnold Classic, that’s already its own thing, but we’re also moving houses,” he adds. “I’m also opening my gym doing this prep as well.”

Aside from his training plan, Dauda has kept fans updated on his nutrition as well. He recently walked through a full day of eating as he preps his physique for the Arnold Classic, breaking down five simple dishes to maximize muscle building.

Samson Dauda has the potential to be one of the few men to win the Arnold Classic as the reigning Mr. Olympia champion. Don’t miss his big performance from February 27 to March 2 in Columbus, Ohio!
