Samson Dauda is mixing it up with Classic Physique standout Michael Daboul following the biggest win of his career. On November 20, 2024, they crushed an intense superset chest workout.

The moment Samson Dauda ripped off his shirt during the Olympia pre-event press conference, fans knew he was bringing something different to the stage. When it was time to compete against the best in the world, Dauda showcased dramatic improvements, particularly in the conditioning of his chest and back.

Dauda’s progress paid dividends under the bright lights. He dethroned Derek Lunsford and defeated Hadi Choopan in the finals to become the 19th man to hold the Sandow trophy. Staying busy, Dauda has already confirmed his entry for the upcoming 2025 Arnold Classic.

Michael Daboul, meanwhile, is a proven force in Classic Physique. He competed at the latest Olympia as well, where he earned a seventh-place finish. In a rare multi-division crossover workout, he joined ‘The Nigerian Lion’ to build his chest.

  • Standing Calf Raise Machine – Superset B
  • Smith Machine Incline Bench Press – Superset A
  • Standing Machine Lateral Fly- Superset B

  • Pec Deck Fly – Superset B

Supersets are a time-efficient and effective tool for building muscle. They can also help with calorie burn given the demands of performing exercises in quick succession alongside shorter resting periods. After pushing each other to the brink of exhaustion, Dauda and Daboul reflected on the training session.

“Top Classic Pro at the Mr. Olympia, one of the best in the world. Another great session. I don’t really get guys coming down to train with me I don’t know why. People don’t want to come down and train with me,” says Dauda.

“Because you fucking kill them,” laughs Daboul. “I come to train with him every four or five months.”

Dauda enjoyed the camaraderie, which reminded him of why he loves the sport so much.

“We always have a lot of fun man. Reminds us why we love doing this. This is why we’re brothers in this and why it feels so awesome. Another good one in.”

Although the lineups for the 2025 Arnold Classic haven’t been revealed, there is considerable hype around the event, thanks to Arnold Schwarzenegger announcing that the Open champion will be awarded a hefty $500,000 purse, only $100,000 less than what the 2024 Mr. Olympia handed out. This means that if Dauda wins in Columbus, Ohio, he’ll have collected over a million dollars within six months.

Dauda continues to prove why he’s the number one bodybuilder in the world. Don’t miss his next contest appearance at the 2025 Arnold Classic in March!
