Urs Kalecinski‘s highly anticipated Men’s Open debut is almost here. On August 31, 2025, he shared a full day of eating as he prepares to compete at the ProMuscle Italy Pro show.

Kalecinski has managed to finish in the top three at the Classic Physique Olympia for the past three years. With that in mind, fans were blown away when he announced his foray into the Men’s Open. His decision came months after reigning Classic Physique Olympia Chris Bumstead tried his hand in an Open show, where he secured second place at the Prague Pro.

Kalecinski is qualified for the Olympia, but only in Classic Physique, meaning if he hopes to compete at the biggest show of the year as an Open competitor, he must win a pro contest by September 14, so time is running out.

Digestive Drink

Kalecinski starts the day with a drink for digestive health, made mostly of psyllium husk, flaxseeds, and chia seeds.

  • 10 grams of Psyllium Husk, Flaxseed, & Chia Mix
  • 5 grams of Inulin
  • Acacia fiber
  • Brottrunk
  • 1 cup of Aloe Vera juice
  • 1 tbsp of Black seed oil

Meal 1: Breakfast

  • 100 grams of Buckwheat flakes
  • 100 grams of rice pudding
  • Cinnamon

Kalecinski called breakfast his favorite meal of the day, which he consistently eats at 9 a.m.

“It’s actually just after 9 a.m. now, which is always the typical breakfast time in our house, said Kalecinski. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, because there’s so much love in it and my wife makes it so special for me.”

Meal 2: Pre-Workout Meal

  • 130 grams of rice pudding
  • 1 Banana

He enjoyed his staple rice pudding before training and carbed up with a banana.

“One thing never changes, and that’s the pre-workout meal rice pudding. The amount changed a bit today.”

Meal 3

  • 150 grams of chicken
  • 100 grams of zucchini
  • 100 grams of potatoes
  • Garlic
  • Paprika
  • Salt-Free spice
  • Salt

He cautioned that his nutrition has looked a little boring, as he dials in his physique ahead of the ProMuscle Italy Pro.

“The next three meals are definitely going to be boring.”

Meal 4

  • 150 grams of chicken
  • 100 grams of zucchini
  • 100 grams of potatoes
  • Garlic
  • Paprika
  • Salt-free spice
  • Salt

He explained that switching from rice to potatoes provides him with more food volume, helping him stay fuller longer.

“A definite tip for anyone who’s making and wants to have a bit more to eat. Replace rice with potatoes. So, if you have a 100-gram rice plan or want to eat, then you can eat 400 or even almost 450 grams of potatoes. That’s a lot more,” he shared.

Meal 5

  • 150 grams of chicken
  • 100 grams of zucchini
  • 100 grams of potatoes
  • Garlic
  • Paprika
  • Salt-free spice
  • Salt

Next, Kalecinski enjoyed another chicken-based dish, paired with potatoes and zucchini.

Meal 6

  • 200 grams of salmon
  • Oriental spice
  • Pepper

Later, Kalecinski shared that his last two meals were carb-free.

“Two more meals will then be carb-free, and the last one today,” he shared. “That’s really cool because I can always vary it up quite nicely.”

Meal 7: Whey Drip

  • 50 grams of White chocolate pistachio whey protein
  • 30 grams of almond butter

He finished with a whey protein drip, inspired by Classic Physique’s Wesley Vissers.

“I call it pudding with almond butter.”

Kalecinski opened up about his decision to switch categories. He revealed that his body wanted to grow and that cutting weight to make the Classic Physique limit didn’t make sense for his career’s longevity. The rising star mentioned that he was tipping the scales at 261 pounds and stage-ready for Italy.

Kalecinski has the potential to shake up the Men’s Open division. His first show in the new class will take place this weekend at the 2025 ProMuscle Italy Pro show from September 6-7.
