It is common for bodybuilders to hold their cards close to the chest and not reveal their physique to the competitors ahead of a big event. William Bonac is a rarest of rare exception to this rule. The Ghanaian bodybuilder took to the stage for guest posing without a slight bit of hesitation – two weeks before Arnold Classic 2021!
The caption to William Bonac’s post read:
Every morning I get a message from my mom to encourage 2 start my day strong & positive. Here is one from today;
Expect more from yourself than from others.
Because expectations from others hurt a lot, while expectations from yourself inspire a lot. That’s life!👑

Bonac appeared on the stage dressed as Joker before revealing his well-muscled body for guest posing. The 39-year-old has improved leaps and bounds since he started training with trainer Abdullah Alotaibi. 2019 Mr. Olympia winner Brandon Curry is one of the bodybuilders who owe a large part of their success to Alotaibi’s legendary training.
The chiseled muscles and impeccable definition left no doubt in the minds of onlookers that William Bonac will certainly be a front-runner to win the competition.
Carrying himself with the confident and humble attitude that he is known for, William Bonac appeared well-conditioned and gave the vibe of a potential winner. Known particularly for his large legs and arms, William Bonac might be on the verge of winning the competition if he fine-tunes his physique even further in the coming weeks.
William Bonac won his second Arnold Classic since 2018 by holding off 5x champion Dexter Jackson in 2020. However, icing on the cake was the fact that the tooth-and-nail competition featured a record seven past Arnold Classic winners.
The 39-year-old incumbent champion has been admired for his unparalleled work ethic and dedication to diet and nutrition. Road to victory for William Bonac in 2021 Arnold Classic will go through equally dedicated individuals like Iain Valliere, Sergio Oliva Jr., Maxx Charles, Hassan Mostafa, Justin Rodriguez, Akim Williams, Steve Cuklo, and Lionel Beyeke.
Another frontrunner in the competition, Cedric McMillan, was forced out of the competition a little over three weeks before the event as he is in recovery from hand surgery.
Arnold Classic 2021 will take place on September 25, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. The event will feature Arnold Classic, Classic Physique, Fitness International, and Bikini International. The full Arnold Sports Festival will be held in 2022 due to Covid-19 imposed restrictions. Do you think William Bonac will make it two in a row by winning the competition? Sound off in the comments!
