Powerlifting sensation Larry Wheels is gearing up for his highly-anticipated transition to bodybuilding as a Classic Physique competitor. Wheels recently enlisted the help of William Bonac and Andrew Jacked with posing lessons after the 2023 Arnold Classic.
Larry Wheels has carved out his own space in the fitness industry with experience in a number of disciplines. Starting off in powerlifting, Wheels set the World Record on the squat, bench, and deadlift without wraps at 2,275 pounds overall in the 275-lb class. He continued to pull off crazy feats of strength all the while boasting a a stacked physique.
Wheels’ potential on stage was evident from the beginning as he emerged victorious in his amateur bodybuilding debut at the NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic in Feb. 2018.
After nearly a decade of regular use, Wheels decided to quit steroids due to health concerns stemming from a back injury. He showed off his inanely jacked physique while performing a heavy set of bicep hammer curls for reps with 100-lb dumbbells last month. He then performed another impressive set of 200-lb dumbbell bench presses for six reps with no changes to his TRT dosage.
Larry joined forces with former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall for a grueling shoulder workout earlier this week. Both strength-based athletes are in the process of pursuing respective bodybuilding ventures.
Wheels revealed his plans to start prepping for a highly-anticipated move to Classic Physique. He believes he already has the muscle mass and size to hold his own in the division as opposed to trying his hand at the Men’s Open class, known to host some of the freakiest mass monsters in the world.

William Bonac Guides Andrew Jacked and Larry Wheels Through Posing Lessons
In a recent YouTube video, Larry Wheels shared his posing training session led by bodybuilding veteran William Bonac along with Andrew Jacked after they were done at the 2023 Arnold Classic.
Bonac mentored Wheels through a series of poses such as the front double bicep, side chest, and front lat spread. He encouraged Wheels to work the angles to look the best. He also recommended the same to Andrew and advised him against posing for just entertainment.
Bonac is coming off a seventh-place finish at the Olympia and intends to stay on the sidelines for the rest of the year. On the other hand, Andrew Jacked left fans stunned with his impressive package in Ohio. He placed third and also won the Best Poser award.
Larry Wheels did not disclose which show he will compete in but teased more updates will follow. Given his progress, Wheels is not leaving any room for error in prep for his next bodybuilding contest.
