Powerlifting sensation Larry Wheels made a name for himself with his impressive physique and crazy feats of strength in various sports. In a recent post made on Instagram, Wheels looked insanely jacked as he smashed through massive 100-lb dumbbell hammer curls for reps.

Larry Wheels is one of the most popular fitness influencers on social media with over 2.6 million followers on YouTube and more than 4.1 million followers on Instagram. He first gained attention for setting the World Record on the squat, bench, and deadlift without wraps in the 275-lb class at a total of 2,275 pounds. As a man of many talents, he also found success early in bodybuilding. He won his maiden amateur competition at the NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic in Feb. 2018.

Following a back injury that forced his withdrawal from the 2022 Middle East’s Strongest Man contest, Wheels decided to quit using steroids for health purposes. He got on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to compensate for the damage from his nearly decade-long use of steroids.

He didn’t let the health challenges hold him back from working out on only TRT. Earlier this year, Wheels demolished a huge 716.5-lb (325-kg) squat for a one rep max test. He also recorded a higher projected one rep max with the help of reverse bands to get his central nervous system ready. Then, he pulled off a 551.2-lb (250-kg) bench press for another one rep max test a week before testing himself again. His most impressive lift while only using TRT happened a few days after when he crushed a 793.7-lb (360-kg) raw deadlift.

Larry Wheels opened up on how using TRT at the age of 17 helped him avoid a much darker path. He shared his experience of gaining over 32 pounds in two months after starting. Larry routinely tests his strength on TRT and compares his progress to back when he used steroids. While he did not lift as heavy, the drop in performance was not extreme as he thought it would be.

Larry Wheels shows off jacked arms while performing 100-lb hammer curls

In a recent Instagram video, Larry Wheels looks absolutely jacked while smashing past 100-lb dumbbell hammer curls for reps.

“100lb db hammer curls,” he wrote. “Haven’t been doing heavy curls in months. Arm wrestling most definitely kept my biceps strong.”

Larry Wheels teamed up with fitness influencer Lexx Little for a grueling leg day workout session last month. Wheels showed off his crazy lower body strength by crushing a 16-rep AMRAP (as many reps as possible) set of squats with 505 pounds (229 kilograms).

About two weeks ago, IFBB Pro Joe Mackey enlisted Wheels’ help in preparation for his attempt to pull a 1,000-lb deadlift. Wheels inspired Mackey by performing a heavy 200-lb (90.7-kg) dumbbell bench press for three reps during their training session.
