Famous fitness personality Larry Wheels carved out a name for himself with his crazy feats of strength and jacked physique. In a recent post made on Instagram, Wheels crushed a huge set of 200-pound (90.7-kilogram) dumbbell bench presses for six reps.
Larry Wheels has competed in several strength and fitness-based sports, such as powerlifting, strongman, bodybuilding, and arm wrestling. He rose to prominence as a powerlifting prospect with a natural gift of strength. The 28-year-old boasts an impressive blend of power but also sports an aesthetic physique fit for a bodybuilder.
Wheels’ potential was clear from the start as he set the World Record on the squat, bench, and deadlift without wraps in the 275-lb class at a total of 2,275 pounds. Then, he won his amateur bodybuilding debut at the NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic in February 2018.
He stopped using steroids last August after suffering injuries from his heavy lifting. He was forced to withdraw from the 2022 Middle East’s Strongest Man contest due to a back injury he picked up in prep. The setback inspired him to quit steroids and only use testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). As a longtime steroid user, Wheels didn’t want to be completely natural and needed to incorporate synthetic testosterone.

Wheels has not slowed down in the training room as he continues to push the limits of his strength. He embarked on a mission to test himself while being only on TRT. Earlier this year, he smoked a massive 551.2-lb (250-kg) bench press on a one rep max test in preparation for trying out his actual 1RM max. He also recorded an insane 793.7-lb (360-kg) raw deadlift.
When it was time for the mock meet, Wheels did not disappoint. Although he did not lift as much as he did on steroids, he lifted some big numbers that were not significantly far off from his PRs.

In a recent Instagram video, Larry Wheels crushed a massive set of dumbbell bench presses using 200-lb dumbbells for six reps. He only used elbow wraps to perform the lift.
“200s for 6 reps! BodyWeight and TRT dose hasn’t changed. Just getting better at the movement. Got the new and improved camo wraps on!”
Larry Wheels teamed up with fellow fitness influencer Lexx Little for a grueling leg workout session last month. Wheels smashed 505-lb squat for 16-rep AMRAP while inspiring Lexx to achieve a new squat PR of 600 pounds.
Two weeks ago, Wheels uploaded a clip where he lifted 200-pound dumbbells for three reps. He followed up with a shredded physique update while performing 100-lb hammer curls. In addition, Wheels shared a training session with bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman. Larry put his strength to the test several times and was ultimately knighted by the eight-time Mr. Olympia.
