What We Know

We know now how many semi-finals events will be hosted on each continent. We also know how many athletes from the CrossFit Open will advance to the semi-finals.

A certain number of athletes from those events can compete in the last-chance qualifiers, with two men and two women from the last-chance qualifiers advancing to the CrossFit Games.

Making it to the CrossFit Games requires the following participation:

  • CrossFit Open
  • Quarterfinals
  • Semifinals

Continent Events:

  • North America hosts four semifinals
  • Europe hosts two semifinals
  • Every other continent hosts one semifinal

New dates have been announced as well. February 15, 2021, is the cut off for owners who want to change their Licensee of Record or a new address for the team portion of the events.

With the new “100-mile” rule we previously reported on, team athletes must live within 100 miles of the CrossFit affiliate they represent. This new cut off date will give them some additional time to work that into their training protocol.

Here is who and what will happen at the semifinals and last-chance qualifiers.
