Bodybuilders from the Wellness division gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 26 for the 2023 Musclecontest Sin City Showdown Pro. This event served as a qualifier for the upcoming Olympia competition.
Athletes were strapped for time as the window to qualify for this year’s Olympia event is closing fast. October 9 is the deadline for the season. Unlike last year, there is no point system in place, so in order to grace the sport’s biggest stage, athletes must win a Pro show like this one to guarantee their entries.
Competitors put on a thrilling event in Sin City this weekend. The judges had a tough time picking the winner, which was a great sign of the quality of talent on stage. A few athletes impressed during prejudging. However, it was Daniele Mendonca who shined the brightest, with an exceptional lower body. She earned her ticket to 2023 Olympia where she will have a shot at the reigning Olympia Wellness champ, Francielle Mattos.
