The 2026 CrossFit Games day two opened up with three Team events before diving into a grueling five-workout gauntlet for the Individuals on Friday, July 24th. Though it was day three on the calendar, it marked just the second day of action on the floor. The Individuals may have had Thursday to recover, but any advantage gained from that rest day was put to the ultimate test in what proved to be one of the most punishing and intense days of the competition.

Fluid standings defined the second day of action at the 2026 CrossFit Games for the men. However, James Sprague navigated the chaotic leaderboard and retained his place at the top. The women’s division told a completely different story, with Aimee Cringle pulling away even more to prove that she really is the frontrunner in the title race. The Teams division saw CrossFit Mayhem display their trademark reliability as they finished in the top two in all three events.

  • Snail push
  • 2/3 legless rope climbs
  • 30 toes-to-bars
  • 4/5 rope climbs
  • Snail push

Men’s Results

The men wore a 22-pound vest throughout the entirety of event eight. They also had to push a 400-pound snail for a distance of 100 feet each time. That being said, it seemed that the key to success was not burning out, especially when it came to the rope combs. One man that executed the plan perfectly was Roman Khrennikov. Being one of the biggest men in the field, he had no trouble pushing the snail, allowing him to focus more on the rope climbs. His final time came out to 05:27, giving him his first event win at the 2026 CrossFit Games.

The overall leader after day one of the competition, James Sprague, made sure not to drop too many points. As a result, he placed second in the Climbing Snail, showcasing a masterclass on the “Zeus” rig and finishing the event in five minutes and 46 seconds. Dallin Pepper had a great start to the event and managed to defend his position very well considering that he ended up in third place.

  • Roman Khrennikov — 05:27.60
  • James Sprague — 05:46.03
  • Dallin Pepper — 05:52.12
  • Jayson Hopper — 06:00.48
  • Ricky Garard — 06:09.03
  • Guilherme Malheiros — 06:22.52
  • Patrick Vellner — 06:23.29
  • Henrik Haapalainen — 06:23.98
  • Justin Medeiros — 06:28.52
  • Calum Clements — 06:41.63

Women’s Results

Alex Gazan had no rivals in the Climbing Snail event, since she completely dusted some of the fittest women alive. The 16-pound vest did not bother her at all, as she quickly ascended up the rope and moved the 400-pound Snail with ease for the full distance of 60 feet. As a result, she needed less than five minutes to complete the entire sequence of tasks and claimed her first event win at the competition.

Paige Rodgers was the clear second-place finisher, as she crossed the line 13 seconds after Alex and 15 seconds before the next quickest woman. However, multiple athletes battled for third place, with Danielle Brandon beating Elisa Fuliano and Emma Lawson by just four seconds.

  • Alex Gazan — 04:55.22
  • Paige Rodgers — 05:08.73
  • Danielle Brandon — 05:23.14
  • Elisa Fuliano — 05:27.14
  • Emma Lawson — 05:27.99
  • Aimee Cringle — 05:30.70
  • Kyra Milligan — 05:33.01
  • Madeline Sturt — 05:33.99
  • Siria Meha — 05:41.21
  • Olivia Kerstetter — 05:43.49

Individual Event 9 — 3D Throw

For total distance:

  • 1 throw, right
  • 1 throw, left
  • 1 throw, backward

Women: 20-lb
Men: 30-lb

Men’s Results

The ninth event of the 2026 CrossFit Games tasked the men with throwing a 30-pound implement for maximum distance, combining the scores from three different types of tosses. As such, it was not as taxing as some of the usual events, but it relied heavily on the explosiveness and coordination of the athletes. That being said, it was not surprising seeing Gulherme Malheiros absolutely crushed the event, since he is one of the most powerful CrossFit athletes in history. His score came out to 123.

Patrick Vellner and Dylan Hamming tied for second place, as both men achieved a score of 122. Vellner announced at the start of the season that this is his last year of competition, but his performance in the 3D Throw proved that he is still one of the fittest men alive and is more than capable of competing against the greatest athletes in the world.

  • Guilherme Malheiros — 123
  • Patrick Vellner — 122
  • Dylan Hamming — 122
  • Bayley Martin — 117
  • Henrik Haapalainen — 116
  • Justin Medeiros — 116
  • Dallin Pepper — 114
  • Jayson Hopper — 114
  • Aniol Ekai — 114
  • Jay Crouch — 113

Women’s Results

Two women stood out in the 3D Throw event, those being Abigail Domit and Hannah Black. The scores they achieved across all three tosses were 108 and 106, respectively. So, Abigail was the one who achieved the event win, while Hannah Black had to settle for second place.

Alex Gazan was the only other athlete who reached three digits, as her score of 100 just barely beat Anikha Greer’s and Bergrós Björnsdóttir’s performances. In the end, small details like the throw trajectory, technique, and timing proved to be crucial, showing that the CrossFit Games truly test to see who the Fittest on Earth is.

  • Abigail Domit — 108
  • Hannah Black — 106
  • Alex Gazan — 100
  • Anikha Greer — 99
  • Bergrós Björnsdóttir — 99
  • Matilde Garnes — 97
  • Aimee Cringle — 97
  • Arielle Loewen — 96
  • Kyra Milligan — 95
  • Madeline Sturt — 94

Individual Event 10 — Run Hang Squat Clean

4 rounds for time of:

  • 660-meter run
  • 10 hang squat cleans

Women: 155-lb short barbell
Men: 225-lb short barbell

Men’s Results

The 10th event of the 2026 CrossFit Games was another highly intense challenge, as the men had to complete four rounds of a 660-meter run and dozens of extremely heavy hang squat cleans. As such, the strategy was important and Jay Crouch knew exactly what he was capable of, holding back from exerting too much energy on the run in order to not waste much time on the hang squat cleans. Therefore, he claimed another event win, bringing himself back into title contention.

Justin Medeiros brought an incredible package to the 2026 CrossFit Games, boasting impressive endurance and strength. He was also pressured by Jeffrey Adler as two former Fittest Men on Earth battled for second place. Medeiros’ time of 14:28.63 turned out to be less than half a second quicker than Adler’s.

  • Jay Crouch — 14:15.05
  • Justin Medeiros — 14:28.63
  • Jeffrey Adler — 14:29.04
  • Roman Khrennikov — 14:34.51
  • Jayson Hopper — 14:40.02
  • James Sprague — 15:00.07
  • Dylan Hamming — 15:03.30
  • Colten Mertens — 15:05.27
  • Austin Hatfield — 15:12.86
  • Dallin Pepper — 15:19.14

Women’s Results

The women’s division saw one of the most exiting duels of the weekend, with Emma Lawson and Lucy Campbell racing fiercely to the very end. The margin between the two came down to less than two seconds, with Lawson being the one who came out on top. Emma claimed her first workout win of the week, which helped her climb up the leaderboards and get into the battle for the title.

Lucy Campbell had to settle for second place with a time of 14 minutes and 58 seconds, with the next quickest woman being Ellie Turner, who crossed the line 24 seconds later. Overall, the event featured clear separation in the women’s division but also produced some remarkable performances, as well as displays of endurance and persistence.

  • Emma Lawson — 14:56.52
  • Lucy Campbell — 14:58.20
  • Ellie Turner — 15:22.34
  • Aimee Cringle — 15:44.14

  • Arielle Loewen — 15:56.13
  • Kyra Milligan — 16:00.44
  • Olivia Kerstetter — 16:02.53
  • Miley Wade — 16:09.65
  • Madeline Sturt — 16:11.05

Individual Event 11 — Handstand Sprint

For time:

  • Handstand walk course

Men’s Results

The men had to cross 1 ramp, perform two sets of freestanding handstand push-ups, complete two pirouettes, and then complete the event with a P-bar traverse. The interesting factor of the event was that each task got progressively more difficult, with the athletes also getting more tired. As such, it was a very technically demanding gymnastics-based event.

Being a former national-level gymnastics competitor in France, Victor Hoffer put up one of the most dominant performances ever seen at the CrossFit Games. He completed three out of four elements unbroken, meaning that he got off his hands for just a couple of seconds before taking on the parallel bar traverse. His final time came out to one minute and five seconds, which is practically impossible to beat.

For reference, Guilherme Malheiros had a truly remarkable performance and beat everyone by 20 seconds or more. However, even he found himself reaching the finish line nearly half a minute after Hoffer.

  • Victor Hoffer — 01:05.62
  • Guilherme Malheiros — 01:30.26
  • Ben Fowler — 01:50.18
  • Henrik Haapalainen — 02:03.19
  • Jay Crouch — 02:05.48
  • Justin Medeiros — 02:05.49
  • Colten Mertens — 02:05.66
  • Ricky Garard — 02:07.48
  • Tudor Magda — 02:09.07
  • Dylan Hamming — 02:19.22

Women’s Results

Paige Rodgers proved to be the only woman capable of completing the entire course in less than two minutes and, in the process, also outperformed the large portion of the male competitors as well. Danielle Brandon seemed to be on track to beat Paige’s time by a significant margin. However, Brandon could not find her balance on the parallel bar traverse and ended up dropping out of the top ten.

Elisa Fuliano did her best in hopes of beating Paige Rodgers, but that was only enough to place second with a time of 02:03. However, Fuliano was over half a minute quicker than the next quickest woman, Lydia Fish.

  • Paige Rodgers — 01:56.58
  • Elisa Fuliano — 02:03.55
  • Lydia Fish — 02:36.49
  • Alexis Raptis — 02:46.78
  • Anikha Greer — 02:47.98
  • Emma Lawson — 02:59.16
  • Alex Gazan — 03:12.02
  • Aimee Cringle — 03:13.16
  • Abigail Domit — 03:16.50
  • Kyra Milligan — 03:28.62

Men’s Results

Colten Mertens was not in the lead at the end of round one, but as soon as he got back to the barbell, he overtook James Sprague and Jay Crouch and managed to continue increasing his lead from there on. His ability to cycle the bar and not lose any time on the transitions prevailed once again, giving him a time of 04:55 for an event win.

Jay Crouch had the quickest start, but the pace proved to be just a bit too fast to last the entire event. However, he still managed to hold off everyone except Colten Mertens, which means that he placed second with a time of 04:59. Last year’s champion, Jayson Hopper, squeezed into third by overtaking James Sprague.

  • Colten Mertens — 04:55.57
  • Jay Crouch — 04:59.27
  • Jayson Hopper — 05:08.23
  • James Sprague — 05:10.54
  • Justin Medeiros — 05:17.38

  • Ricky Garard — 05:33.12
  • Bayley Martin — 05:35.32

Women’s Results

Lucy Campbell held back at the start of the final event of day two at the 2026 CrossFit Games, letting Emma Lawson and Aimee Cringle battle it out. Lucy then picked up the pace and came in flying into the third and final round of the event. There she managed to overtake Cringle due to quick transitions and ended up taking the event win with a time of 05:02.

Danielle Brandon and Abigail Domit were placed into the penultimate heat of the event, but managed to put up such incredible times that even those that performed it afterwards were unable to beat them, with Lucy Campbell being the sole exception. Domit placed second with a time of 05.04.36, beating Brandon by just 0.57 seconds.

  • Lucy Campbell — 05:02.48
  • Abigail Domit — 05:04.36

  • Siria Meha — 05:24.95

  • FF pair: 3 laps
  • MM pair: 2 laps
  • FF pair: 2 laps

The athletes first completed multiple laps in pairs of two and then wrapped it up with a 5,000-meter run for the entire team. The time stopped once the final member of the team crossed the finish line, meaning that all groups were only as strong as their weakest link. Well, Homefront CrossFit PRVN was stacked with incredible runners, which resulted in them winning the event with a time of 46 minutes and 44 seconds.

No other team finished in under 47 minutes, which goes to show just how impressive Homefront CrossFit PRVN was. • 12 rope climbs
  • 40 synchro cleans
  • 100-foot Snail push

CrossFit Mayhem took the win in the fourth event of the 2026 CrossFit Games. They were solid throughout the entire event, but it is important to note that the second male-female pair pulled off a masterclass to secure the first place. They crushed the toes-to-bars and maintained the lead until the end. Their snail push was a bit unbalanced, which cost them a couple of seconds as it started steering away from their lane. However, they managed to straighten it out in time and were the first ones to reach the finish line in a time of 13 minutes and 53 seconds.

CrossFit Whip was in the lead at one point in the race but ended up dropping behind CrossFit Mayhem in the second half. They also started catching up as they got closer to the end, but ended up being five seconds slower than the event winners. CrossFit Oslo Kriger won the 2025 CrossFit Games, which automatically set high expectations for this year. Well, they clearly set their sights on the title once again, as they secured a very impressive third-place finish on the SAP Team Snail.

Well, on the final event of the day, CrossFit Whip managed to get the better of CrossFit Mayhem and ended up taking the win. Whip locked in a time of 09:29, making sure to conserve their energy on the rower while still maintaining a decent pace and then crushing the worm squats.

CrossFit Mayhem was not far behind, as they pressed the buzzer 12 seconds after CrossFit Whip.
