The Teams kicked off their 2026 CrossFit Games campaign on July 23rd in San Jose, California. The first of four days of competitions brought two events, giving the Teams an opportunity to secure some valuable early points and head into the remaining days in a favorable position.
The Teams division featured 20 separate groups, each consisting of four athletes, including two men and two women. The groups worked together to complete a series of challenges that could be, but are not limited to, synchronized lifts, combined scores, and others.
Camp Rhino CrossFit proved to be the most consistent team on day one of the 2026 CrossFit Games. They placed fourth in event one and followed it up with a sixth-place finish in the handstand relay. However, it is important to note that the point distribution remained quite balanced throughout the top half of the leaderboard, indicating that a lot of exciting battles will take place in the remaining three days.

Day One Recap for Teams
Team Event One — BOB on BOB
For time:
- 280-foot Big Bob sled push (667 lb unloaded)
- Round 1: 1,107 lb
- Round 2: 997 lb
- Round 3: 887 lb
The BOB on BOB was a knockout-based event, as a portion of the teams were lost after each round. In the end, the last round was a duel between the two best-performing teams up until that point. The teams that made it until the end were Solidarity CrossFit Basecamp and Camp Rhino CrossFit. The winner was clear, with Solidarity CrossFit Basecamp finishing the event half a minute quicker than their rivals.
CrossFit Kia Maia barely missed out on reaching the final round, as they were the third-quickest team in round three. Consequently, they claimed third place in event one, which they earned by putting in an incredible and coordinated performance on the sled push.
- Solidarity CrossFit Basecamp — 01:09.22 (Round 4)
- Camp Rhino CrossFit — 01:46.37 (Round 4)
- CrossFit Kia Maia — 01:06.68 (Round 3)
- CrossFit Sodra Wattern — 01:18.73 (Round 3)
- Q21 CrossFit — 0:09.81 (Round 2)
- CrossFit Mayhem — 01:06.48 (Round 2)
- CrossFit Asker Kriger — 01:13.28 (Round 2)
- CrossFit Uncontained II Relentless — 01:13.62 (Round 2)
- CrossFit Reykjavík CrossFit Reykjavík — 01:13.83 (Round 2)
- CrossFit Whip — 01:15.41 (Round 2)
Team Event Two — Handstand Relay
For time, in any order, complete the handstand walk relay course:
- 40 yards (Athlete 1)
- 60 yards (Athlete 2)
- 40 yards (Athlete 3)
- 60 yards (Athlete 4)
Since the Handstand Relay featured uneven distances for athletes, the teams had the ability to choose their most skillful members to perform the longer distances, while leaving the easier task for those who do not excel as much in this particular skill. However, Homefront CrossFit PRVN is one of the teams that had no weak links when it came to the handstand walk. As a result, they completed the task in just two minutes and 50 seconds to take the event win.
CrossFit Oslo Kriger’s performance was practically identical, but the stopwatch proved that they were one second slower than Homefront CrossFit PRVN. The third-place finisher was a bit clearer, as Snake CrossFit HWPO crossed the finish line an additional three seconds after Oslo Kriger.
- Homefront CrossFit PRVN — 02:50
- CrossFit Oslo Kriger — 02:51
- Snake CrossFit HWPO — 02:54
- CrossFit Mayhem — 02:59
- CrossFit Whip — 03:01
- CrossFit 1124 — 03:10
- Camp Rhino CrossFit — 03:10
