Phil Heath is already back in the gym– “I Need To WORK.”
Since winning his 1st Mr. Olympia in 2011, Phil Heath lost for the 1st time in seven years after placings 2nd to Shawn Rhoden at the 2018 Mr. Olympia. But it doesn’t look like the Phil Heath is going gentle into that good night. Just days after his loss, the seven-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath is already back in the gym for some workout therapy!
Phil Heath’s wife Shurie shared an Instagram video of sweat-drenched Phil Heath gave a shoutout to The Lift Factory in Las Vegas, where he stopped for a workout in the wake of his surprising loss:
Phil Heath also shares a video on his own Instagram, that shows he is already back in the gym & also back to the photoshoot grind with a note:
“Can’t wait for what the future holds as I head into a proper relaxing offseason.
Now, time to take [Shurie] and our friends @cbanks66 @c_beezy21 out for a much deserved double date. The laughter we will have tonight will be epic for sure.”

Last photo shoots completed today and boy I am happy they’re done. Shout out to my man, @jasonbreeze for making these muscles of mine look awesome in my own @gifted_athletics apparel and of course @schieksportsinc training accessories. Always fun to also hit some poses, chat about life outside of bodybuilding and most importantly taking advantage of a badass gym. Can’t wait for what the future holds as I head into a proper relaxing offseason. Now, time to take @__mrsheath__ and our friends @cbanks66 @c_beezy21 out for a much deserved double date. The laughter we will have tonight will be epic for sure.
In another post, Phil Heath also clears the rumors about the speculation regarding his future in bodybuilding, after his wife posted “You’ll never see him again.” and later it was removed. Phil clear all these rumors with a post on The Lift Factory page, where he confirmed himself that he’s not going anywhere:
“It ain’t over! You heard it here first.”
Well, for now, Phil Heath’s reign has ended but don’t be surprised to see him in contention at the 2019 Mr. Olympia – next year will be very interesting!
