Evan Singleton has experienced a number of setbacks throughout his career as a Strongman. Each time he appears to be making good progress, he encounters an obstacle that sets him back several months. Once again, Evan Singleton has suffered a serious injury, as he tore his bicep while training for the 2022 Rogue Invitational. It has become necessary for Evan to withdraw from this competition since it is scheduled for October 28-30, 2022, in Austin, Texas. The time required for him to recover completely will be much longer, so we won’t see him compete until 2023.

To be specific, Evan Singleton tore his right distal bicep tendon and described it as a full rupture on his Instagram.

Evan was in Glasgow at the time of the injury, so he found a surgeon to carry out the operation in England before returning home. Despite having torn his bicep, Evan Singleton was able to complete a 340-kilogram (751-pound) squat for three repetitions just one day after the injury. It turned out that this was the last heavy training session he would be doing for quite some time.

“Right distal bicep tendon reattached!! Surgery was a success so now begins the road to recovery and once that’s done, the road to WORLD’S STRONGEST MAN 2023!!! Thank you so incredibly much for all the supportive messages, comments ect. You are all amazing and I really appreciate you all for taking the time to reach out to me. I’m definitely feeling the love. Now to return the favor and get rehabbed and healthy so I can crush the 2023 season!!! 💪🦖❤️”

This injury also forced Evan Singleton to retire from the 2022 Giants Live World Tour Finals, as well as the 2022 Giants Live World’s Strongest Nation, which will take place on November 8th and October 26th respectively.

Despite the fact that every professional Strongman athlete has suffered some kind of injury, Evan Singleton has experienced it way too often. Most notably, he tore his bicep at the 2020 World’s Strongest Man, which also required surgery. In addition, at the 2022 World’s Strongest Man, Evan suffered an injury in event one, but he got the green light to continue competing despite having spent a few hours in the hospital.

Evan Singleton was born in 1992 and has been competing in Strongman for almost five years. He took part in 17 competitions and managed to win three of them. Those were the 2021 Arnold UK, 2021 Giants Live World Open, and 2019 Giants Live North American Open. In addition, Evan took part in three World’s Strongest Man contests, but never managed to get into the finals.

According to Evan Singleton’s words, recovery is likely to be long. However, he has already dealt with a similar situation once, so he may be aware of how to handle the situation. Despite everything going downhill for him, Evan is still very enthusiastic about the 2023 World’s Strongest Man. He has proven multiple times that he has what it takes to beat the rest, but he just needs a bit more luck. We hope that the coming year will be just what he needs to succeed in his career.
