Olympia President Dan Solomon has major plans in store for fans of bodybuilding. On February 6, 2025, he confirmed the 2025 Mr. Olympia will head back to Las Vegas, Nevada at the Resorts World venue from October 9-12. He also teased that they will award the ‘largest prize money by far’ to its competitors.
The 2024 Mr. Olympia was a history-making event that saw the organization award nearly $2 million to its participants. In the Men’s Open headliner, Samson Dauda pulled off the biggest win of his career to become the 19th athlete to hoist the Sandow trophy above his head. Olympia owner Jake Wood shocked the bodybuilding community when he extended the check to Dauda, which totaled $600,000–the largest purse won by an IFBB Pro.
Attention is quickly turning to the 2025 Mr. Olympia. The date, venue, and location are all set in stone, leading Dan Solomon to offer insight into what the Olympia brand has planned for athletes, sponsors, and fans ahead of the massive event.
Dan Solomon Announces 2025 Mr. Olympia for October 9-12 in Las Vegas: “You’re Going To See The Largest Prize Money By Far”
In a recent YouTube video, Dan Solomon confirmed that Mr. Olympia will return to Las Vegas, Nevada at the Resorts World venue from October 9-12.

“We’re going to go back to Resorts World. A tremendous home for the Olympia. A lot of people who came to the event they got to experience that next-level environment.
What Resorts World was able to do, we basically built an entire pavilion, attached it to the property, and put on much of the Olympia experience within that.”
He also promised the ‘largest prize money by far’ for the event.
“You’re going to come to the Olympia. You’re going to see the best in the world compete. You’re going to see the largest prize money — by far — play out on that stage.
You’re going to see a tremendous expo, but you’re also going to see new technologies, new innovations, new parts of the overall commitment to longevity and fitness and healthy living.”
In addition, Solomon discussed critiques of the show’s organization and underlined the importance of steady growth from year to year.
“We really work hard to listen to the feedback, we do. But there’s a lot of hypocrisy that goes on. Some of the same people that will talk about the importance of growing the event, bringing more money into the event, will also criticize the things that we do and will suggest things that actually make the event feel smaller.”
“The fiscal success of the event is what allows us to grow. It’s what allowed us to present nearly $2 million in prize money at the Olympia.”
He admits that moving the Open prejudging to an earlier time on Friday affected the crowd interest for the divisions that performed afterward.
“We got some pressure to move it [Men’s Open prejudging] earlier into the night which we did. And it went fine. We may do that again, we may not. But I will tell you this: when the Men’s Open prejudging ended on Friday night, we have two divisions after that, a third of the building emptied out,” shared Dan Solomon.
As the most celebrated fitness and bodybuilding showcase of the season, fans continue to wonder how the Olympia will up the ante. Previously, Jake Wood expressed interest in one day staging the competition in Las Vegas’ Sphere. While that has yet to materialize, it would make for an unforgettable experience.

Been going to The Olympia for 15 years, went last year, cost a fortune! Hotel was expensive even with a discount, restaurants in hotel very expensive.
VIP Gala meal was not as good as when at The Orleans or when in Orlando, considering its a 4+ star hotel the Gala meal should have been much better!
Will go again but probably stay in a different hotel.
Never been to the Olympia, I want to go this year, 2025, as I’m now cancer-free! I haven’t been able to attend for 5 years due to lymphoma, where can I get tickets for my daughter and myself with no gimmicks. I also want to experience the Expo and try to get merch. I was training from 2016-2019 with a trainer for the 50+ Wellness competitor when I got ill with Lymphoma. Jan. 2025, I went into remission and plan to get back in the gym in Aug. 2025 when my oncologist will allow my return to training.
