The 2025 Tampa Pro is stacked with big-name bodybuilders. On July 30, 2025, bodybuilding veteran Akim Williams shared his top 10 Men’s Open picks for this weekend’s show.
It’s almost the time of year when the best bodybuilders from around the globe clash onstage. The 2025 Mr. Olympia — the pinnacle of all bodybuilding competitions — is set for October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada for its 61st event. Last season, Samson Dauda reigned supreme, having upset Derek Lunsford to secure his first Sandow trophy.
Taking the crown from “The Nigerian Lion” won’t be an easy task, and there are still athletes who’ve yet to stamp their tickets to the prestigious show. The qualification period for the 2025 Mr. Olympia began on September 16, 2024, and runs until September 14, 2025. This means bodybuilders still have plenty of opportunities to ensure their presence in Sin City.
The latest will come in just a few days at the 2025 Tampa Pro. Defending champion Jonathan Delarosa is considered the on-paper favorite thanks to his triumph last year. Meanwhile, other threats like Bruno Oliveira Santos, Justin Shier, Quinton Eriya, John Jewett, and Stuart Sutherland are in the mix, making this contest one of the most talent-rich of the entire season.

Open Bodybuilder Akim Williams’ 2025 Tampa Pro Top 10 Picks
Find his picks below from the recent Bro Chat Podcast.
- Winner — Jonathan Delarosa
- Second Place — Bruno Oliveira Santos
- Third Place — Justin Shier
- Fourth Place — Quinton Eriya
- Fifth Place — Jordan Hutchinson
- Sixth Place — Emir Omeragic
- Seventh Place — John Jewett
- Eighth Place — Joseph Palacios
- Ninth Place — Justin Savole
- Tenth Place — Stuart Sutherland
In addition to “The Beast’s” predictions, retired bodybuilding veterans Iain Valliere and Seth Feroce broke down their top picks heading into Tampa. In line with Williams’ picks, Valliere also has Jonathan Delarosa successfully defending his title.
However, Feroce, a former 212 standout, sees the contest unfolding differently. He argued that Bruno Oliveira Santos has the tools to get the job done, leaving many curious as to who will nail their peak and leave no doubt amongst the judges.
One thing is certain: the winner will head to the Mr. Olympia with substantial momentum, which they’ll need against the current lineup. From mass monster Nick Walker to Dauda, Lunsford, Hadi Choopan, and Andrew Jacked, it won’t be easy to stand out when it’s showtime.
