Lee Priest is opening up about the drama that engulfed the 2025 World’s Strongest Woman contest. On Dec. 2, 2025, he explained that the organization was right to disqualify the winner, Jammie Booker, after discovering that he was a biological male.

The 2025 World’s Strongest Woman contest took over Arlington, TX, from Nov. 20–23. As soon as the Official Strongman Games (OSG) found out about the situation, they revised the top placings. They have emphasized that had they known Booker was a biological male, they wouldn’t have allowed him to compete in the event.

As a result, Andrea Thompson, who originally finished runner-up and trailed by only one point, was declared the new titleholder. The results sent shockwaves through the fitness community, with Priest debating the role of trans competitors in athletics.

Lee Priest Breaks Down Trans Controversy at 2025 World’s Strongest Woman

In the video, Priest questioned how Booker can feel accomplished if he knowingly defeated women as a biological male.

“How could you feel like you accomplished anything knowing you’re really a man, you’re physically strong like a man beating women.

Come on, it’s like when you get those trans women that used to be men going into UFC fights, and they are beating up women and breaking their jaws. Like really? That makes you feel so good because you beat up a bunch of women? Fuck.”

He pointed out that athletes like second-place finisher Thompson trained for years only to be undercut by a man during a women’s competition.

“If she wants to be a trans woman, that’s fine, but like I said, when it comes to competition, say you’re that girl that got second who walked off the podium. Let’s just say, since she’s a teenager, she’s been training her whole life for that.”

She’s training and training, and by rights, she probably was first place now, but how would you feel, or even if you were the parents or any sport, swimming and that, you put your daughter through all these colleges and swimming, put a fortune into it and money, and she misses out of going to the Olympic Games because in the qualifications, a trans man or woman beats her.”

He believes competitors knew Booker was trans but didn’t say anything because they didn’t want to be labeled transphobic.

“Word would have been around that this person is a man, but no one wanted to say anything, rock the boat, or be labeled transphobic and shit like that. Crazy, but at least they did the right thing and disqualified him and gave it to the girl.”

Additionally, Priest shared that the organization shouldn’t be blamed, as they rectified the situation promptly:

“Still, it takes that girl’s podium away of actually being awarded first place at the podium and stuff like that. It’s bittersweet, but it shouldn’t have happened to begin with. You can’t blame the organization; they thought she was a woman,” Lee Priest shared.

Trans athletes in sports have become a controversial sticking point for many. Social media star Dan Bilzerian recently gave his opinion on the trend. He emphasized that ‘competing against women makes no fuc**ng sense.’ He added that men are built differently and called for separate classes for trans competitors in athletics.

Given the latest shakeup, time will tell if the OSG issues stronger restrictions for trans athletes in the future. Priest believes the organization handled the controversy appropriately, but stressed that Thompson was robbed of her time in the spotlight.
