For the first time since the global health crisis, Jay Cutler was able to return to training in the gym. Judging by the video he posted, he does not seem to have missed a beat.

Like most of us, Jay was put out of a training facility when gyms began shutting down around the country. Although he was able to find ways to stay active at home, there is no denying these were suboptimal conditions to get the best pump in. Nevertheless he pushed through, doing what he can to stay busy.

Now the gyms are reopening, and Jay Cutler could not wait to get back to a traditional training setting. He took to his YouTube channel to document his trip to Metroflex Gym, in Murrieta, California, and show off his first gym session back. The focus on this workout is Jay’s least favorite muscle group — arms.

This was Jay Cutler’s Arm Workout:

  • Row Press Downs – 12-15 reps/3 working sets
  • Machine Dips – 12 reps/3-4 sets
  • Line Dumbbell Extensions – 12 reps/4 sets
  • Reverse Straight Bar Extensions – 12 reps/3 sets
  • Seated Bicep Dumbbell Curls – 12 reps/3 sets
  • Preacher Curls – 12 reps/3 sets
  • Standing Bar Curls – 12 reps/4 sets
  • Concentration Curls – 12 reps/3 sets

The video is mainly a montage of the quite intense arm workout Cutler. He is usually known for talking in between sets, but this was a much more quiet session. However he then expressed his gratitude for being able to return to the gym, before breaking down the workout he did.

“So we just wrapped it up, nice workout. I have to come all the way from Las Vegas just to work out. Its always good to come to these different gyms, and I always enjoy coming out here.

“Good pump, these days I just go mainly for the pump. I’ve been kind of limited with what I’d been training, without all the exercises. For me, coming and getting the feel back, and being in a real gym is amazing and I’m excited.”

Even if Jay Cutler is only trying to get a pump at this point in his career, there is no denying that he still looks impressive. Even taking things easy lately has done nothing to take away from the raw talent that led to his four Olympia titles.
