Sarah Villegas Wins Women's Physique Olympia 2021

Sarah Villegas wins the 2021 Women’s Physique Olympia title. This was a huge victory that not only earned her prestigious status in the sport but also $50k in prize money. The contest took place on Friday, October 8, 2021, during Olympia weekend at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fl.

Earlier today was the Women’s Physique pre-judging where defending champion Sarah Villegas, and top contenders Natalia Abraham Coelho, Barbara Menage, and Brooke Walker were compared in the final callout (Top 4).

It was no doubt a hard-fought battle to get to this point but Vallegas earned it with a lights-out package beating a fierce lineup and edging out Nataliya Coelho, her biggest threat at this show.

This year’s event featured the world’s premiere competitors and brought lots of excitement, great rivalries, and not to mention, record prize money.

She took first at both the 2018 Chicago Pro and 2019 Atlantic Coast Pro punching her ticket to the 2019 Olympia where she placed second just a year before prevailing victorious in 2020.

Vallegas has shown what hard work and dedication can achieve and that happens to be elite status. She looked incredible and the win was well-deserved.

“Discipline and hard work are the main pillars in my life” – Sarah Vallegas.

Division Details

In 2018 and 2019, the Women’s Physique division was familiar with a two-time Olympia champion in Shanique Grant who looked to make it three straight titles in 2020.

But plans changed when Sarah Villegas upset the division and became the new Women’s Physique champion (2020). This year, Villegas went into the 2021 Olympia looking to repeat.

While there was no Shanique grant to worry about after the athlete’s recent retirement from competition earlier this year, Villegas was still up against tough competition especially 2020 Arnold Classic Women’s Physique winner Natalia Abraham Coelho, who placed third at last year’s Olympia.

Sarah Villegas Offers $20,000 Challenge For Shanique Grant To Make A Comeback

It wasn’t as easy to predict (although it never is) the placings this time around as we’ve seen several competitors swap placings over the past year. So it was anyone’s guess. Although we knew the two aforementioned competitors would be right up there near the top.

That’s a Wrap!

Congratulations to the 2021 Women’s Physique Olympia champion Sarah Vallegas.

There was no doubt she was the superior competitor on stage this weekend and as a result can celebrate her performance at the 2021 Olympia.

But it’s also important to acknowledge all of the athletes in the Women’s Physique division who showed up and gave their best this year.
