The Classic Physique division battled in Columbus, Ohio, at the 2025 Arnold Classic, which took place from February 27 to March 1 at 12:30 p.m. EST. Logan Franklin and Mike Sommerfeld are fighting for first place following the prejudging rounds on Day 1.
Wesley Vissers walked into this title defense with something to prove, having slipped to eighth place on the 2024 Olympia stage. However, Logan Franklin looked impressive from the moment he landed on stage, especially when callouts were announced.
Mike Sommerfeld was the one to push Bumstead last October, before the Canadian champion chose to retire. Sommerfeld also appeared to have brought one of his most detailed looks to the stage. Early on, he remained center stage throughout the first callout.
In the final callout, it was Mike Sommerfeld and Logan Franklin fighting it out. Sommerfeld’s V-taper and fullness from the rear were standout attributes that judges took notice of. Franklin dominated comparisons with impressive side poses. It’s anyone’s title going into the finals later tonight, which will kick off at 7 p.m. EST.
