Betty Pariso
Betty Pariso won a professional contest at fifty-three, which our records and her own biography agree is the oldest anyone has done it in women's bodybuilding. She competed for eighteen years.
Known for
The 2009 Tampa Pro win is the one that matters. Born in 1956, she was fifty-three, and the claim in her biography that it makes her the oldest woman to win an IFBB Pro League contest outright is consistent with everything in our own data.
She was also on the Olympia stage five times between 2005 and 2009 with a best of sixth, and won the Jan Tana Pro Classic heavyweight class in 2001.
Early career
She won the Junior Nationals middleweight class in 1994 and the Nationals heavyweight class in 1996 to turn professional, and was runner-up at the Ms. International in 2003 and the Night of Champions in 2004.
Forty contests are recorded between 1992 and 2010.

Championship appearances
Counted from the same results table below: an appearance is one contest entered (in the years the Olympia also judged weight classes, one appearance can carry two placings), an Olympia title is the overall win in that division, and Top 3 counts first, second and third together. The last row is every professional contest on record for Betty Pariso.

Where these results come from. Each contest in the table was recorded from a named source, and for Betty Pariso those sources are MuscleMemory and Wikipedia. Open any contest above and that page names its own source and links to it where the source is still reachable. MuscleMemory is the exception: the archive we recorded those older shows from no longer answers at the addresses we hold, so it is credited by name and not offered as a link.

Sources
Competition placings on this page come from our own contest database and cover 1992 to 2010.
The oldest-winner claim is carried from the biography previously held in our corpus. It is consistent with her birth year and the 2009 contest date in our own data, but we have not verified it against the full field of IFBB Pro League results.
Win rate here is first-place finishes as a share of all 33 professional contest results. It is published only where a career holds at least five, because below that a single placing moves the figure by twenty points or more.
