Kelley won the Wheelchair Olympia five years running, from 2018 through 2022, lost it in 2023 by one place, and took it back in 2024. Over the same period he won five consecutive Arnold Classic wheelchair titles from 2016 to 2020 and a sixth in 2023. For most of a decade the division was his.
The record is what makes the argument. A category that produces a champion with six Olympia titles and six Arnold titles is a competitive division, not an exhibition, and Kelley is the reason that case no longer needs making.
Early career
His professional record opens in 2010 with a win at the Wheelchair USA Championships. He took the Houston Pro in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and the UK BodyPower Pro in 2014 and 2015. By 2015 he was winning nearly everything he entered: the Dallas Pro, the Toronto Pro Supershow, the Texas Pro and BodyPower in a single season.
The Arnold Classic followed in 2016 and the Olympia in 2018. He was 51 when he won his fifth consecutive Olympia title in 2022 and 53 when he won it back in 2024. He was still competing in 2025.
