All systems are a go for Brandon Curry who will aim to capture a third title at the 2025 Arnold Classic. On January 16, 2025, he shared his first physique update of the season as he ramps up preparations for Columbus, Ohio from February 27 to March 2.
Brandon Curry is an accomplished Open Bodybuilder, having already won the Arnold Classic twice, the first in 2019, and the second in 2022. In addition, he claimed his lone Mr. Olympia title in 2019 after the sudden and tragic death of the late Shawn Rhoden left the title vacant.
At Curry’s last Mr. Olympia contest in 2024, he took ninth place and he had to navigate prep without his long-time coach Abdullah Alotaibi. With time to adjust to new training and diet changes, Curry believes he’s in a position to make a statement in under two months.
“Just a Bit More Grinding To Go” — Brandon Curry Looks Huge in Physique Update 6 Weeks from 2025 Arnold Classic
Known for rarely sharing physique updates, Curry surprised fans with a progress video on Instagram weeks from the Arnold Classic.

“I figure I’d come out of the shadows and let you all know I’ve been working. Yes, there’s been some changes for this prep but it doesn’t change my willingness to endure and get the job done.”
Now coached by Justin Harris, Curry said his focus right now is ‘stripping the fat off’ his physique. The final chapter of prep will revolve around refining his look.
“Thanks to my coach Justin Harris’s @troponin_nutrition app I know that this video was exactly taken 6 weeks and one day out (yesterday) from @arnoldsports. Since this is our first time working together he let me know the first phase is about stripping the fat off. The final phase will be more focused on making the physique look good.”
Sporting an upper body pump post-workout, Curry was happy with his latest developments.
“I feel like we are in a good position. This is my first time capturing myself post workout (with upper body pump), so it’s a bit different from my normal fresh out of bed check-ins.”
In addition to his new coach, he credited his wife for helping him through this prep.
“I’m managing well at home and my wife @bleaver808 has been aiding in making this transition more comfortable for me and I appreciate all her help. Just a bit more grinding to go and God willing I will see a lot of you in Columbus,” shares Brandon Curry.
He’ll have his hands full with the roster at the Arnold Classic. Not only is reigning Mr. Olympia Samson Dauda looking to bag a second title but third-place Olympia finisher Derek Lunsford will be in attendance. Lunsford is seeking redemption against ‘The Nigerian Lion’ who unseated him as champion at the Olympia. Meanwhile, other threats loom such as Andrew Jacked, Akim Williams, William Bonac, James Hollingshead, and Carlos Thomas Jr.
Curry certainly looks to have added size following his off-season. Should he pull off the massive upset to claim his third Arnold Classic title, he’d have unrelenting momentum heading into the next Mr. Olympia contest.
