“It depends on the person. I may go from 10-15 depending on the way it works,” he explains. “No [there’s not an exact science]. It depends on what you want you’re [trying to do], are you trying to stay tight or are you trying to grow?”
If growth is the primary concern, he advocated for 10-12 reps. Conversely, for those looking to shred down, he said to aim for up to 20 reps.
“I would go anywhere from 10-12 reps [if you want to grow],” he shared. “It’d be up to like 20 reps [if you want to tighten and shred].”
Building muscle can be a daunting task for some, which has led Charles Glass to also discuss what is the best protein source for getting the job done. He favors chicken most, especially after training but also said for extra muscle-building potential, follow it up with beef. As for his number one exercise for building muscle, he credits the rowing machine for its utility.
With decades of experience helping shape various IFBB Pros and celebrities, Charles Glass offers unique insight into muscle building and losing fat. He stands by 10-12 reps for growing and up to 20 reps for aiding fat loss.
