It’s been just a little over a week since Conor McGregor Tweeted is retirement from MMA, and just as we thought, he’s not really retiring! It seemed too strange to be true, as an athlete as big as McGregor would never just call it quits especially since he’s healthy, young, and has a passion for the sport.
But even UFC’s President Dana White knew McGregor wasn’t serious and he explained why in an interview with Las Vegas 8 News Now… “I think that there are some things that Conor wants, and I think that Conor wants to get together face to face, he and I, and we probably will in the next couple of weeks we’ll get this thing figured out”. He’s stuck on his this here he wants a piece of the ownership… that’s a tough one but I think there’s other ways that we can make him happy”.
Well, Dana White was right (As we suspected) seeing as he’s very close with the Irish superstar so his insights are very valuable, and McGregor finally Tweeted that he’s coming back to the octagon…
“I want to move forward, with my fans of all faiths and all backgrounds. All faiths challenge us to be our best selves. It is one world and one for all. Now see you in the Octagon.”
I want to move forward, with my fans of all faiths and all backgrounds.
All faiths challenge us to be our best selves.
It is one world and one for all ❤️
Now see you in the Octagon.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 4, 2019

Apparently, McGregor wanted to let his fans know that he respects all religious preference and still cares for his fans despite his disrespectful comments towards Khabib’s Muslim religion.
Even after his retirement announcement, McGregor continued to insult Khabib Nurmagomadev who defeated him via submission at UFC 229 last year. McGregor called Khabib’s wife “a towel.” after he found a picture of the Russian fighter and his wife at their wedding.
He was referring to the head garment of the Muslim religion which Khabib’s wife had over her head. But why would McGregor have continued to insult Khabib if he was retired? The whole thing seemed pretty fishy!
But Khabib answered with his own Tweets where he had words to say to the Irishman, calling McGregor a rapist and a hypocrite… ouch!!
Rapist, you are Rapist.
You are a hypocrite who is not responsible for your actions. Justice will find you.

Then, Khabib made another comment assuring McGregor that he will not be safe insulting the Muslim religion…
@TheNotoriousMMA If you think that insulting entire religion you be safe, you are mistaken.

But despite all of the back and forth nonsense between the two superstars, both will likely see each other in the ring again but the question is when will this happen? Conor McGregor is not one to lay down and accept defeat so let’s see if Dana White can make this happen, as it would likely be the biggest fight in combat sports history!
