Hunter Labrada, son of legendary bodybuilder Lee Labrada faced a rude awakening back in 2022 after he placed 7th at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. However, he took the defeat positively and improved on his flaws. Labrada kept his word and made a comeback at the 2023 Tampa Pro after months of hard work. He dominated the entire lineup as he won the show and got his ticket to the 2023 Mr. Olympia.

The Tampa Pro show has always been a lucky event for Hunter Labrada. Way back in 2020, he scored a direct ticket to the 2020 Olympia by clinching victory at the 2020 Tampa Pro. After placing eighth at the 2020 Olympia, he made a huge impact at the 2021 Mr. Olympia as he came in fourth in the competition. Despite the results, his performance made him a hot prospect in the bodybuilding circuit as he defeated top names like Nick Walker and William Bonac

After securing his spot in the 2023 Mr. Olympia, Labrada appears quite optimistic about his performance in this year’s event. He shared recently that he’s aiming for a top-five placement, expressing confidence that nailing his peak week and perfecting his conditioning will be key before stepping onto the stage.

“If I show up in shape, I think I’m in the top five. If I show up out of shape, I’ll be hopefully maybe in the top 10. It’s one of those things, it comes down to who is going to show up on game day. If we all show up on game day, if feel like there’s ten people that can be in the top six,” said Labrada.

Hunter Labrada posts a physique update before the 2023 Texas Pro

Labrada will be competing at the 2023 Texas Pro on August 18th and 19th in Arlington, Texas. He recently posted a physique update on his Instagram, just three days before the event. As he posed, Labrada appears ripped to the bones and show-ready. His perfect V-Taper and striated triceps were a sight to behold as well. As he hit a back double bicep, he rocked a perfect Christmas tree on his back with a lot of thickness as well.

In his Instagram post, he wrote:

“I woke up like dis…Excited to start eating and dialing it in today! This starting point is significantly better than Tampa!”

“Can’t tell y’all how at peace I am with this peak week! I’m staying at one of my best friends apartments, training out of my home away from home @destinationdallastexas , @squatlikechow and I have the plan dialed from our notes from Tampa, and I get to compete in front of my home state crowd for the first time as a pro…and I’m already qualified.”

“No stress, no pressure, just excited to deliver my all time best in 3 days.”
