New details have emerged regarding the late passing of bodybuilding mass monster Illia ‘Golem’ Yefimchyk. In reports spread throughout social media and TMZ, it’s been revealed that he died of a fatal heart attack. His wife, Anna, has provided additional details on his death and mentioned that, before his demise, he was in a coma during his transport to the hospital via helicopter.
Bodybuilder Illia Golem’s Death Caused by Heart Attack, Wife Gives Statement on His Passing
According to local news outlets in Belarus, Golem suffered a heart attack in his home on September 6, 2024. His wife, Anna, was present at the time and performed chest compressions while awaiting help from first responders.
Illia Golem was flown in a helicopter to a local hospital. However, he then slipped into a coma after arriving. His wife Anna explained that they were able to get his heart going again but, unfortunately, by then, he was announced brain dead.
“I spent every day by his side, hoping, and his heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died,” his wife said.

Golem’s death was officially announced on Instagram by @whoisthebestbb and Anna shared her gratitude for the outpouring of love and support she has received throughout this difficult time.
“I thank everyone for their condolences,” she said. “It’s very heartwarming to realize that I am not left alone in this world, and so many people have offered me help and support.”
Illia Golem was known as ‘The Mutant’ and coined the ‘Most Monstrous Bodybuilder’ due to his large build, coming in at six feet tall and weighing over 348 pounds. His insane size contributed to his mind-blowing strength, having been able to bench press 600 pounds and deadlift nearly 700 pounds.
Golem was also known for his massive diet that consisted of over 16,500 calories. He would have seven meals throughout the day that consisted of foods such as 108 pieces of sushi and 14 oatmeal pancakes with syrup. If that wasn’t enough, he would also take down over five pounds of steak in just one sitting alongside a pound and a half of cottage cheese.
Illia Golem amassed a large presence on social media, having over 300,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 50,000 on YouTube. Golem would talk about topics ranging from workouts to his favorite foods. Illia Golem never shied around difficult topics, including discussions about supplements and performance-enhancement drug use.
