Open bodybuilder Jordan Hutchinson’s stock is at an all-time high thanks to a pair of big wins. In a recent Cutler Cast podcast, aired on August 12, 2025, Cutler discussed Hutchinson’s potential and believes that with back improvements, he could be a top-four threat at 2026 Mr. Olympia.

Hutchinson carefully built his physique and grew accustomed to living life as a 300-pound bodybuilder. He’s picked up momentum in 2025, having claimed gold twice — first at the Tampa Pro and again at the Texas Pro, where he defeated finalist Quinton Eriya in both outings.

The 2025 Mr. Olympia is in less than nine weeks, and Hutchinson is set for his debut. Cutler believes time is on the IFBB Pro’s side, and with a few improvements, he could find himself fighting for gold against the world’s best bodybuilders.

Jay Cutler Sees Jordan Hutchinson As a ‘Top-Four Threat’ at 2026 Mr. Olympia ‘If He Can Improve His Back’

In the video, Cutler explained that Hutchinson is just ‘one year away from being in the hunt.’ He notes that if Hutchinson brings up his back, he’ll find more success.

“This kid is a year away from being in the hunt. If this Jordan can improve what he needs to improve right now, based on this, because the conditioning thing — he’s got that down like tenfold, but if he can improve his back, which I know he will — he’s a top-four threat. We’re talking about him at the Olympia next year as a frontrunner.”

Assuming he makes the improvements, Cutler believes Hutchinson could push some top bodybuilders out of the top five:

“Not today, not this year, but with these kinds of improvements… we have a lot of killers coming into the top five Olympia. It’s going to push some of these guys out, unfortunately,” adds Cutler. “

Having yet to test himself on the Olympia stage, Hutchinson will go head-to-head against big-name bodybuilders. Reigning Mr. Olympia Samson Dauda will aim to pick up another Sandow, while Derek Lunsford, Hadi Choopan, and Nick Walker plan to battle for supremacy. Beyond those talents, Andrew Jacked, Martin Fitzwater, and debutant Ugolnikov ‘Good Vito’ Vitalii will be at the event.

Cutler sees Hutchinson only moving up the Men’s Open ladder in time. The 2025 Mr. Olympia will head back to Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 9-12.
