Reigning Ms. Bikini Olympia Lauralie Chapados is taking advantage of her time away from the stage, focusing on her longevity. On March 24, 2025, she discussed her current health phase, missing the 2025 Arnold Classic, and smoked her shoulders with a workout guided by coach Hany Rambod.
After a handful of attempts, Lauralie Chapados finally secured the Bikini Olympia throne in 2024. She brought an aesthetic combination of fullness and shape, giving her the edge in the finals against former three-time champion Ashley Kaltwasser.
While fans anticipated her return at the 2025 Arnold Classic for a fourth title, she opted out of the competition instead. Now, with her eyes locked on a successful title defense this October, she joined Rambod for an honest conversation about her career before getting in a training session.
Lauralie Chapados Explains 2025 Arnold Classic Absence
In a recent YouTube video, Chapados came clean, admitting that there was some subconscious pressure about serving as the ambassador of the Bikini category. She shared that blood work forced her to sit out of the 2025 Arnold Classic.

“Maybe subconsciously, there’s probably some of that. I think whatever you want to call it I’m going to go for it because that’s what champions are doing.
I was just so hyped up, I was like okay, Arnold, four-time, it sounds good let’s go for it. We started prep, everything was good, and when we had the blood work, the decision was made for me. I really had to think.”
In Bikini, nailing the perfect physique is a tough task, and Chapados stressed that competitors are always one cycle away from ruining their look.
“I think you’re always one cycle away from messing up your physique totally,” she shared. “When Tyler says no capped shoulder, it’s because he knows. The judges are smart now. They’ve talked to a lot of athletes about things they’ve seen. When you start seeing things that are not supposed to be that on women, they are going to call it out for what it is.”
“Even not in Bikini anymore, like anyone in the top five, they didn’t have deep lines in their hamstrings because they know what it takes. To get that lean, it’s a lot of extreme.”
She is currently navigating a health phase, generally steering clear of cheat meals.
“To add 100 grams of carbs every week, it just elongates the process. I have to go back and prep very soon so I want to have my hormones back. I want to have leptin, ghrelin back on track, I want to have my period if I missed them. I want them back as early as I can.
For me, just keeping my physique after a show that I just got my physique judged on, no. I’m going into a health phase so my focus is now changing from a physique standpoint to a health and internal standpoint,” she explained.
As for her protein requirements, Chapados revealed that she eats four meals a day with roughly 26 grams of protein eaten during each course.
“I would go like per meal four ounces of chicken, so it’s like 26 grams of protein per meal. In the morning, I have 200 grams of egg whites, so it’s about 26 grams of protein to 30 grams of protein per meal and I have four meals a day and a shake.”
Coach Hany Rambod Guides Chapados Through Shoulder Workout
Find their exercise selections below:
- Face Pulls
- Machine Shoulder Press
- Lying Cable Lateral Raise
- Plate Front Raise with Bus Driver
Rambod laid out how he plans to approach the Chapados’ workout for toning the shoulders.
“I really like to just do a basic face pull because it gets a lot of your upper body warmed up, especially the shoulders and arms, it’s a great way to warm up and from there we can go into an isolation.”
He also gave a breakdown on how to perform plate front raises with a twist at the end of each repetition.
“When you’re doing a front raise and then go left and right,” he shared. “All it’s doing is, you have a little bit more tension at the top when you’re moving it like that. You’re just changing up a little bit of the time under tension.”
As it stands, Chapados hasn’t mentioned her next bodybuilding contest. However, all signs point to her return at the 2025 Mr. Olympia event, scheduled for October 9-12 in Las Vegas.
