Men’s Open bodybuilder Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek is making sure nothing holds him back from the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro crown. On March 31, 2025, he pushed through a brutal abs and back workout in prep under the guidance of IFBB Pro Lukas Osladil.
Between sticking to a clean diet and intense training, Michal Krizo is on a mission to make up for lost time. Last year, he finished third at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro, behind Behrooz Tabani and winner William Bonac. His bid for an Olympia qualification was cut short after he tore a pair of tendons in his shoulder.
Aiming to get back on the sport’s greatest stage, Krizo has mapped out plans. In addition to Pittsburgh, he also set his sights on gold at the 2025 New York Pro. He’s kept fans up to date on his training approach as he looks to reassert himself in the Open landscape. Ahead of his comeback, he walked through one of the workouts preparing him for action.

“It’s back training and posing practice with Lukas Osladil today,” shared Krizo. “We’re at around six weeks out of the first show, Pittsburgh Pro.”
- Lying Leg Raises – Superset A
- Sit-Ups – Superset B
- Planks
- Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown
- Incline Bench Barbell Rows
- Dumbbell Bent-Over Row (Single-Arm)
- Chest-Supported Row Machine
- Reverse Grip Lat Pulldown
Krizo enlisted the help of decorated IFBB Pro Lukas Osladil to refine his training and posing. He took in form cues and execution tips throughout the training session, including a tweak on executing dumbbell bent-over rows. Osladil advised Krizo to stop swinging the weight and to bring it up to the side of his hip instead of the lower back.
Krizo will face off against heavy hitters in the Men’s Open at the Pittsburgh Pro. Initially, his main concerns were fourth-place Olympia finisher Martin Fitzwater and Nick Walker. However, that recently changed after former two-division Olympia champion Derek Lunsford announced his surprise entry. With $100,000 on the line, Krizo doesn’t want this opportunity to slip through his fingertips.
With Jim Manion’s name attached to the annual Pittsburgh Pro, it’s considered one of the more prestigious events on the IFBB Pro League calendar. From May 10-11, if all goes well, Krizo may earn his Olympia qualification, allowing him to compete at the contest for the third time in his career.
