Shannon Sharpe is done making touchdowns and now shares his advice and commentary for sports on social media and TV. Even while retired, Sharpe is still determined to keep in shape and recently took some training lessons from bodybuilding coach Milos Sarcev on leg day.
Shannon Sharpe is an NFL star who played primarily for the Denver Broncos. Coming in third of all-time for tight end receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, he is considered one of the greatest tight ends of the NFL. Before retiring from football, Sharpe became a three-time Super Bowl champion.
While Shannon Sharpe is now a renowned social media staple who gives his thoughts on sports and appearing in TV shows like American Dad!, he still trains like a professional athlete. Last year on his 54th birthday, Shannon Sharpe shared a physique update boasting a shredded body that included washboard abs and beefy biceps.
Fast forward to now and Sharpe is still killing it in the gym but he isn’t doing it alone. Shannon Sharpe is joined by one of bodybuildings’ most illustrious coaches Milos Sarcev, who is responsible for training Regan Grimes, Behrooz Tabani, and Samson Dauda who just earned third place at the 2023 Mr. Olympia.

Milos Sarcev Coaches Shannon Sharpe In The Gym For Epic Leg Day Workout: ‘Milos Got Me In The Hurt Locker Today’
Sarcev guides Sharpe through an intense leg day workout that they share on Instagram.
“I joined the CRAZED @milossarcev for a Leg Day at the gym… Safe to say I won’t be standing on business OR standing at all for the next couple days! 😮💨” Sharpe wrote.
As part of their training session, Milos Sarcev led Shannon Sharpe through an arduous leg training session that saw the NFL legend sweating. Known for incorporating a giant set training method, Sarcev’s tactics are particularly painful. Some of the exercises included in the video saw Sharpe complete leg extensions and the leg press machine.
“Milos got me in the hurt locker today. I was trying to stimulate, Milos was trying to annihilate,” said Shannon Sharpe.
In the past, Shannon Sharpe has shared intense workouts where he does an insanely high amount of reps with extremely heavy weights. Then, he later showed off his 365-pound bench press completing multiple reps, though he stated his goal was to be able to reach 450 pounds by the end of 2022.

It helps when you get tips from seven-time Mr. Olympia champion Phil Heath. Heath and Sharpe worked their back and triceps during a taxing workout. Phil Heath also gave away some of his training tips which included working out in the morning for better results.
Given Shannon Sharpe’s dedication to health, longevity, and exercise, it’s no surprise he’s been able to maintain such an impressive physique for all these years. His wellness and strength are even more impressive considering the amount of injuries that come as a result of professional or even college football.

Even while training the number three bodybuilder in the world, Milos Sarcev makes time for a range of clients from the NFL’s Sharpe to athletes in the UFC like Claudia Gadelha. Looking ahead, Milos Sarcev intends to guide Samson Dauda to a second consecutive Arnold Classic victory in March 2024.
