The Women’s Physique division was one of the most hard-fought contests at the 58th edition of Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend, scheduled for Dec. 15-18, in Las Vegas, NV.
24 Women’s Physique competitors locked horns at the 2022 Olympia for the bragging rights to be called the best bodybuilder in the division for a year. Although the reigning champ Sarah Villegas brought her signature conditioning, she couldn’t hold off Natalia Abraham Coelho from winning her maiden Women’s Physique Olympia title.
Coelho is a two-time Arnold Classic Women’s Physique champ, having won the title in 2019 and 2020.
Coelho was born in New York, USA but moved to Brazil at about 10 or 11 months old and grew up in Rio de Janeiro before moving back to the United States at age 15. However, she only started working out after returning to the US.
Coelho turned Pro at 19 years old. She also debuted at the Olympia at the same age in 2016, finishing 15th. She dropped a place at the 2017 Olympia. Notably, Coelho competed in the Figure division for the first two years.
The Brazilian-American bodybuilder switched to the Women’s Physique division in 2018 and grabbed the silver medal at the most prestigious bodybuilding show in the sport — the Olympia. She also finished runner-up behind Villegas at the 2021 Olympia. Coelho also has two third-place Olympia finishes to her name — 2019 and 2020.

Pre-Judging
It was clear in the pre-judging round that Coelho and Villegas were the favorites for the 2022 Women’s Physique Olympia title as they were the only two in the final callout in the pre-judging round.
Finals
Coelho, Barbara Menage, Ivie Rhein, Brooke Walker, and Villegas were the top five at the 2022 Women’s Physique Olympia who also graced the Olympia stage with their individual posing routines.
Brooke Walker, who arguably had the best posing routine of the bunch took home the third prize. Her muscle shape, conditioning, balance, and graceful posing routine won over many fans. She retained her third place from the 2021 Olympia.
