Suns out, guns out — Nathan De Asha and Rubiel ‘Neckzilla’ Mosquera joined hands ahead of their next bodybuilding contests. Taking to YouTube, De Asha and Mosquera annihilated a heavy arms training session as they set their sights on qualifying for the 2024 Mr. Olympia.
“We’re going to give you a gun show baby, a gun show. Get these big black boy arms, bigger. You know what they say, you want big arms, train with a guy with big arms.”
Nathan De Asha will make his seasonal debut atop the headliner of the Flex Weekend Italy Pro on June 23. Having documented his journey to the stage in the form of workouts and full days of eating, De Asha has ambitious plans for the Men’s Open. Visa issues prevented De Asha from competing at the 2023 Olympia, so his motivation to grace the sport’s biggest stage has reached a crescendo.
Although we haven’t witnessed Rubiel Mosquera compete since taking third to Samson Dauda and Michal Krizo at the 2023 EVLS Prague Pro, the excitement around his next showing is palpable. He sports freakish mass monster qualities, from tree trunk legs to an insanely thick neck. Now, with bigger arms, Mosquera intends to shock the world when he returns to the nearing 2024 Dubai Pro on July 28.

Nathan De Asha and Rubiel ‘Neckzilla’ Mosquera Train Arms Together in Prep for 2024 Bodybuilding Contests
You can find an overview of their workout below:
- Cable Triceps Pushdowns
- Overhead Cable Triceps Extension
- Reverse-Grip Cable Triceps Extension
- Machine Preacher Curls
- Cable Hammer Curls
Cable Triceps Pushdowns
The boys start with cable triceps pushdowns with De Asha opting for the rope attachment during the warm-up.
“Got to warm these elbows up. I’m an old man now, 38. Gotta warm the elbows up.”
Overhead Cable Triceps Extension
Wanting to keep the session heavy, De Asha increased the intensity of their sets with more weight.
“We already knew you were going to say add some weight,” says Mosquera.
Reverse-Grip Cable Triceps Extension
De Asha and Mosquera move into reverse-grip cable triceps extensions, which is an ideal movement for hitting all three heads of the tricep.
“120 kilos,” confirms De Asha about his current weight.
Machine Preacher Curls
After Mosquera’s first set, De Asha adds a 15-pound weight plate to his stack for extra tension during each rep. De Asha pushes Mosquera during his final set to near failure.
Cable Hammer Curls
Energized throughout the training session, De Asha says his food from last night must have had some hormones in it.
“I don’t know, it had something in it. It spiked me.”
Previously, De Asha expressed interest in competing at the 2024 Dubai Pro and possibly at the Mr. Big Evolution Portugal show. Though, as of this writing, his focus is on what’s in front of him and that’s this weekend’s Flex Italy Pro.
“I will be doing Italy, going for Italy again, and I will be doing the Dubai Pro 100 percent. But right now, I’m thinking about putting my feet in the water and doing the Portugal show, try something different for that.
Different load. So, you might see me at all three shows more than likely. I’ll be at all three shows, why not? Money is money, right? I’m a bodybuilder, I’ve got to compete baby.”
Rubbing shoulders with Rubiel Mosquera, De Asha plans to showcase his best look to date in just a few days. As for Mosquera, questions about his ceiling in the Men’s Open continue to be raised, adding an extra layer of anticipation to his next contest.
