Nathan De Asha Talks 2024 Season Plans, Steroids, and If Urs Kalecinski Can Defeat Chris Bumstead

Nathan De Asha is closing in on his next bodybuilding contest for the 2024 season. In a recent YouTube video, De Asha laid out his competition plans, discussed steroids, and revealed if Urs Kalecinski stands a shot at Chris Bumstead’s throne later this year.

Fans are overjoyed to witness De Asha return to a bodybuilding stage. He picked up considerable momentum during the 2023 season, which started with a massive victory at the Flex Weekend Pro in Italy. De Asha fell short of Regan Grimes in Spain at the Europa Pro Championships a week later.

Although many bodybuilders only compete at one or two shows a year, that wasn’t the case for De Asha. In addition to winning the 2023 Sheru Classic France Pro, he faced a stiff lineup at the Romania Muscle Fest Pro en route to taking fourth place. With his sights set on another busy season, De Asha provided details about his next bodybuilding obligation.

Nathan De Asha Discusses Contest Schedule for 2024, Steroids, and Chris Bumstead vs Urs Kalecinski

De Asha revealed he will attempt to defend his title in Italy at the Flex Weekend Pro and will ‘100 percent’ compete at the 2024 Dubai Pro. He also has his eyes on a show in Portugal.

“No. I’m not doing it [Empro Classic Pro] this year. I’ve got a bitter taste in my mouth from last year. I’m not doing it. I will be doing Italy, going for Italy again, and I will be doing the Dubai Pro 100 percent. But right now, I’m thinking about putting my feet in the water and doing the Portugal show, try something different for that.

Different load. So, you might see me at all three shows more than likely. I’ll be at all three shows, why not? Money is money, right? I’m a bodybuilder, I’ve got to compete baby,” said De Asha.

Known for his candid nature, De Asha opened up on his best time to take growth hormone.

“For me, the best time to take GH is in the morning. Then, obviously, I transfer the units up into three sections. So if I was on six units, I do two in the morning, two post-workouts, and then two pre-bed. That way it’s always in my system, always in my body. Over the year that’s what I found is way better for me. That’s what I have my lads doing.”

If he had to choose, De Asha favors Primobolan over Masteron and prefers dosages of around 500-600 milligrams.

“I’d say Primobolan, it’s a better compound. A better compound, a stronger compound as well. I get a lot more from it. With Primo, you reach that, people think you put too much in you’re going to keep getting the gains but what I’ve known, what I’ve learned myself, once it gets to 500 migs, 600 migs, you stay there.”

“Even though you want to put 7, 8, 900 in it, you’re not getting nothing more from it. I think 600 is the sweet spot max because you’re not going to keep going up and up and up. Once you get here, you stay there. I prefer Primo in the off-season.”

Switching gears and looking at Classic Physique, De Asha reasoned that Kalecinski’s chances of defeating Chris Bumstead were low.

“He’s a confident lad. He is a confident guy. He might think that, but let’s be honest, bodybuilding’s a sport where if you’re in the limelight you’re in the limelight. I can’t see anyone knocking apparently the king of Men’s Classic Physique, no.”

“Urs is confident, I like that in him but will he beat Cbum? I don’t know. Possibly give him a run for his money, but you know, I think he’s the boy isn’t he? Hopefully, he can beat him. I would like to see him beat him but it’s a far shot,” says Nathan De Asha.

However, De Asha does believe Kalecinski could one day become the Classic Physique Olympia champion.

“I can’t see it. Even though I think Urs is brilliant, a great physique, I believe he could be Mr. Olympia one day. Do I believe anyone will beat Cbum? No. The only person who is going to beat Cbum is himself. When he retires, if he goes for another seven years I believe even if his physique drops 10 percent, they will still give it to him.”

Even though De Asha has yet to compete this season, he has kept fans up to date on his training and nutrition. Of late, the Open standout shared the seven-meal bulking diet he used to reach 300 pounds. With added size and diced conditioning, many believe De Asha will be a major threat when he takes to the stage.

The 2024 Flex Weekend Pro in Italy takes place on June 23. Fans are excited to see De Asha test himself against fellow Open threats on the horizon.
