Nick Walker, one of bodybuilding’s most famous athletes, will head to the East Coast aiming to secure his 2024 Olympia qualification. Taking to Instagram, Walker revealed he will compete at Steve Weinberger’s New York Pro, on May 18, 2024.

Nick Walker wasted no time establishing himself as a formidable force in the Men’s Open class, unleashing a reign of dominance that sent shockwaves through the bodybuilding world. The year 2021 witnessed his triumphant victories at the New York Pro and the Arnold Classic, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring debut at the Mr. Olympia, where he claimed a staggering fifth-place finish.

Walker harnessed the energy from his remarkable start and dedicated the entire 2022 season to refining his physique. His relentless pursuit of perfecting his balance of muscle mass and aesthetics during the off-season proved to be a game-changer. The culmination of his efforts unfolded on the grandest stage of bodybuilding where he soared to a third-place finish at the 2022 Mr. Olympia.

The saga continued in 2023 when Walker aimed for glory at the Arnold Classic. However, after facing the menacing Samson Dauda, he walked away with second place. Undeterred, Nick Walker prepared to drop jaws at what was sure to be an explosive 2023 Mr. Olympia when the unthinkable stopped him in his tracks.

Nick Walker suffered a hamstring and calf tear that shattered his dreams of achieving the Olympia glory he had sought after. Considering the circumstances, Nick Walker revealed that he felt he deserved a special invite to the 2024 Mr. Olympia.

Nick Walker Announces Current Game Plan Including Competing at 2024 New York Pro

While it is important to note that many believed Walker should receive a special invite, he recently revealed in an Instagram post that there is unfortunately no invite, though he is looking forward to earning his ticket to the Olympia stage.

“There is no Arnold for me, that is just too soon. That’s almost four weeks out and I don’t feel ready enough for that and there is no invite and honestly I’d rather earn my qualification. I’m okay with that, I’d rather earn my qualification and once I earn that qualification I am going to win and come back strong” Nick Walker said.

Additionally, Nick Walker shared that he intends to win the 2024 New York Pro this May to earn his qualification for the Mr. Olympia this October.

“Better than I was going to be last year and get the Mr. Olympia title. That’s how this is going to go. That being said, I think two of these (New York Pro ring) is better than one. I’ll see everyone at the New York Pro, you all better be ready for it cause you know I will be.”

After Nick Walker was sidelined for his injury, he quickly jumped into action to get himself back in competition-ready form. With a combination of rest and physical therapy, Walker was able to hit the stage guest posing at the 2023 NPC High Roller Royale.

His incredible physique had many, including Terrick El Guindy, feeling that Nick Walker would have won the 2023 Mr. Olympia if it hadn’t been for his hamstring injury. Now, Nick Walker will go up against the reigning 2023 New York Pro champion Tonio Burton for an epic showdown of pure muscle for a chance to earn entry to the 2024 Mr. Olympia.
