Coach Milos Sarcev remains a well-respected voice in the bodybuilding community. In a podcast with Flex Lewis, Sarcev talked about the Men’s Open lineup and a match-up between Nick Walker versus Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay.
It’s been an exciting year for bodybuilding. Newcomers with high ceilings in the sport have made their way into the Men’s Open division like Andrew Jacked and Slovakia’s Michal Krizo. They both earned Pro cards this year and punched tickets to 2022 Olympia after claiming victories in their IFBB Pro debuts.
In addition to the new blood, heavy hitters from last year’s Olympia are eager to make statements. Considering how talent-rich the division has become, veterans of the sport continue to suggest this might be the greatest Olympia of all time.
Other bodybuilders in the Open class have also made strides throughout the season. Rivals Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada are among them as they continue to push each to bring their best. To further examine the Men’s Open lineup, Sarcev joined former seven-time 212 O winner Flex Lewis for a thorough breakdown.

During the podcast, Sarcev shared his confidence in Ramy ahead of the show.
“I see how the judges would favor Ramy because he’s just too overwhelming. So, I still think Ramy – it’s his show to lose but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Now, going to Nick Walker right.
You’ve seen him here. When I said that and people criticized me like I’m speaking negatively: hell no, I have the utmost respect for him oh my God,” Milos Sarcev said.
Sarcev said the world wants to see Ramy and Walker face off.
“He [Nick Walker] was overwhelming. That front double biceps. Jesus Christ those arms are fuc**ng phenomenal,” Sarcev said. “How could you not compare them. The world wants to see him [Nick Walker] next to Big Ramy right. They are going to compare them and let’s see which direction they go.”
Sarcev Compares Fantasy Match-Up Between Hunter Labrada and Lee Labrada: ‘I Would Give It to Lee Anytime’
While discussing Hunter Labrada, Sarcev opened up about a comparison to his father Lee Labrada. He favored Lee over Hunter because of aesthetics and conditioning.
“Hunter Labrada — I love Hunter’s physique. I love Lee Labrada’s physique. I said this to Chris [Cormier] and Dennis [James], Lee or Hunter who wins?
I would give it to Lee anytime. First of all, Lee was always ultra-conditioned. Not good, not great, but ultra-conditioned. I was kind of like, ‘ah, why won’t you coach your son?’ But he doesn’t want to. I don’t know why. I still don’t understand why,” Sarcev said.
Sarcev says Brandon Curry, Hadi Choopan, and William Bonac Will All Be ‘Battling’ Ramy
Sarcev believes Curry, Choopan, and Bonac will pose the biggest problems for the two-time champ.
“Brandon right — Brandon [Curry], Hadi [Choopan], William [Bonac] can be all battling there with Ramy and be second third fourth. I want to bring in here Samson [Dauda]. It’s very hard to talk about your guy and not be biased,” Sarcev shared.
Derek Lunsford was mentioned as another threat due to his impressive structure.
“Derek [Lunsford] structurally, he’s perfect. He’s perfect. So, front relaxed, front double biceps, front lat spread, back double biceps, back lat spread — he’s competitive and can possibly beat just about anyone — under certain circumstances they are going to look for this, look for that.”
Sarcev also acknowledged the danger of Andrew Jacked and his clear Mr. Olympia potential.
“You don’t have to be a genius to see that Andrew Jacked has Mr. Olympia potential. There’s no question about it. When — he’s vastly improving. I know what he did here in the gym when he did the Arnold Classic Amateur.”
“He has that visual, wow effect from the front. Super deep abs. Biceps, triceps, everything right. Front double biceps crazy. Front lat spread crazy. I want people to start thinking, what judges are judging and what they are seeing. All three poses killer for Andrew Jacked. He’s going to gain momentum right there.”
The last time fans heard from Sarcev, he was handing out an official top six prediction list for 2022 Olympia. While he believes Ramy will defend his title next month, Sarcev specified that both Samson Dauda and Andrew Jacked will break into the top six.
Before all is said and done, Sarcev hopes to see a battle between champion Big Ramy and Walker. Despite a wave of serious contenders, Sarcev doesn’t believe the Mr. Olympia title will change hands this year.
