Bodybuilder Samson Dauda is attacking Olympia preparations with a renewed sense of urgency. Taking to a recent YouTube video published on September 13, 2024, he annihilated his biceps and triceps with a superset-focused workout four weeks from the biggest show of the year.

Samson Dauda’s potential in the Open was staring us in the face from the moment he entered the IFBB Pro League. His monstrous physique, tall stature, and bursting fullness have helped him become a household name in the Men’s Open.

He won the 2023 Arnold Classic and while he came close to a successful title defense in 2024, he was ultimately denied by the dry conditioning and completeness of Hadi Choopan. They rematched in the UK at the Arnold Classic, and even though Dauda left his backyard in second place, it provided him with the motivation he needed to make a bid for the sport’s greatest achievement on the horizon.

Samson Dauda Annihilates Arms With Superset Workout 4 Weeks from 2024 Mr. Olympia

Check out Dauda’s superset workout below:

  • Machine Preacher Curl & Dip Machine – Superset
  • Cable Pushdown & One-Arm Preacher Curl Over Incline Bench – Superset
  • High Cable Curl & Single-Arm Crossbody Cable Extension – Superset

“We’re at four weeks out from the Olympia and we got an arm session to do today, so once again, bout to get to work and do what I do. A quick one,” he shares

Dauda focused on slow and controlled repetitions while performing machine preacher curls for a massive bicep pump. He alternated to triceps with the dip machine to complete his first superset. With what looked like the entire weight stack, Dauda moved on to cable tricep pushdowns and then headed back to preacher curls but this time used an incline bench, alternating grips for maximum results.

Using the cable machine, he performs a high curl variation, bringing his arms in during each repetition, resembling the front double biceps pose. To evenly tax his arms, Dauda opted for a unilateral movement next, the single-arm crossbody cable extension, which served as the final exercise of his training session.

Superset training is one of Dauda’s main weapons to force arm growth ahead of Mr. Olympia. What makes this form of training so useful is that he can complete workouts in a shorter amount of time, which is crucial at this late stage of preparations where every detail counts. They can also burn extra calories and help athletes maintain a balance of strength and high intensity, making for shorter but more effective workouts.

Dauda has many adversaries to conquer if he hopes to become the 19th man to hold the Sandow trophy. In addition to a highly anticipated rematch against Nick Walker, who bowed out of last year’s Olympia due to injuries, the towering Nigerian must get through Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford to taste gold.

Based on this workout, it looks like Dauda will have even bigger arms when he takes to the stage in a few weeks. Don’t miss live 2024 Mr. Olympia coverage brought to you by the team here at Fitness Volt from October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada!
