Tia-Clair Toomey is living her best life right now, as she won the most Individual CrossFit Games titles just a few months ago and got pregnant with her first child some time after. Aside from all of that, her new home gym in Australia is now complete, with only a few pieces of equipment left to arrive. Tia-Clair gave a full tour of the gym on her YouTube channel.
For quite some time now, Tia-Clair Toomey and her husband / coach, Shane Orr, have been eager to reveal their home gym, but they had to wait until the construction was complete. The plans for this gym have started developing more than one year ago, but it has all now paid off. Although Tia-Clair Toomey will not be competing at the 2023 CrossFit Games due to pregnancy, this gym will undoubtedly be of good use for her once she comes back to the sport officially.

Tia-Clair Toomey’s Home Gym Tour
The couple started off their gym tour from the first wall of the gym, which saw an array of specialized barbells being placed next to a giant fan. However, right next to that, Tia-Clair Toomey has placed her Rhino Squat Machine, which is a pretty unique piece of equipment.

“We love using this, it’s actually a good tool for now for where we are in the season and trying to alleviate any residual back issues that Tia may have.”
Right next to the Rhino Squat Machine, a wall-mounted stand for barbell clips, small weight plates, jump ropes, mobility bands, and more is stationed. A reverse hyper machine is placed by the side of the wall station, while it is also connected to the steel rig which binds almost everything together.
Four massive shells found their place in the central portion of the wall, each of them holding some interesting stuff like d-balls, unfilled sandbags, weighted vests, and grip training accessories. A chalk bucket is placed in the near proximity, with some rock climbing implements placed on the rig for some additional grip training. In addition, the first of many gymnastic rings setups is placed on the same part of the steel rig.
In the corner of the gym, Tia-Clair Toomey has an amazing set of medicine balls, going anywhere from 10 pounds to 30 pounds. She has multiple balls of each weight. A massive digital clock is also in the corner, so it can be seen from every part of the gym.
“Clearly Shane is expecting me to do a lot more 30-pound balls, because we’ve got more of them.”
Also in the corner, Tia-Clair Toomey has three shelves filled with progressively heavier pairs of kettlebells, which can be used for clean and jerks, shoulder overhead presses, and more. Amongst so many weight implements, Tia-Clair has placed two SkiErgs, which are one of her favorite cardio exercises. However, the row continues with some more weighted pieces, as sandbags ranging from 50 pounds to 150 pounds have found their place right next to the SkiErg.
At the center of the main gym wall, an array of barbells is displayed once again, but this one features only the most meaningful and personalized barbells for Tia-Clair Toomey. Above the barbells, two gymnastic ring setups of different widths are incorporated. Moving down the line, Tia-Clair has some 200-pound sandbags, bumper plates, carry bags, and some weight plates.
The other wall of the gym is a “mirrored” version of the first one, containing some more rock climbing implements, competition-worn weighted vests, barbell collars, and more. The main difference is that this wall has a cable machine as opposed to the rhino squat machine. This wall is also the home for Tia-Clair Toomey’s dumbbell storage, but the majority of dumbbells have not been delivered yet. Some jerk boxes are situated next to the dumbbell shelf, but they will be replaced by a lat pull-down machine.
The final part of the gym is home to a chest-supported row, two GHD machines, a massive leg press machine, and a versatile leg extension/hamstring curl machine.
“If you do have some kind of a back injury going on, this (leg press) can really help with isolating that. You can also do calf raises with it.”
Jammed in the corner, Tia-Clair Toomey has some assault bikes, yokes, farmer’s carry implements, a sled, some stones, two peg boards, and more. Although it is not set up yet, Tia-Clair Toomey will have a recovery section, which will consist of a magnesium bath, ice bath, hot tub, and a sauna.
“You will be able to find your optimal recovery when it comes to recovering and getting back into the gym.”
