Is Chris Bumstead’s dominant reign coming to an end? Urs Kalecinski thinks so. In a recent Instagram post shared on August 25, 2024, ‘The Miracle Bear’ offered his predictions for the nearing contest. He believes he’ll be the chosen one to dethrone Bumstead despite fan favor behind frontrunners Ramon Queiroz and Wesley Vissers.
Since 2019, Bumstead has ruled the roost atop the Classic Physique category. His combination of stature, hard muscle density, and conditioning have set him apart from other contenders on stage. Even in the face of injuries, Bumstead finds a way to come out on top, as displayed at the 2023 Olympia last season, when he overwhelmed the lineup despite a lat tear.
Kalecinski, meanwhile, collected a $12,000 cash prize in third place, behind his arch-rival Cbum and runner-up Queiroz. The Classic Physique division has only gotten deeper since then. Wesley Vissers, who took seventh on the grand stage in 2023, has revamped his look drastically.
His striated chest and shoulders carried him to gold against Kalecinski and Queiroz at the 2024 Arnold Classic Ohio show. He also picked up a big win at the Arnold Classic UK, turning him into a bona fide frontrunner to take out Bumstead. Though, even with the recent success, Kalecinski doesn’t see him shaking up the podium this October. Check out how Kalecinski sees the competition unfolding below:

Urs Kalecinski’s Top 5 Classic Physique Picks for the 2024 Mr. Olympia Contest
Backing himself to win the 2024 Mr. Olympia, Kalecinski predicted Chris Bumstead to finish in second place this October. Although Vissers got the better of Queiroz at the previous Arnold Classic, Kalecinski doesn’t see him continuing the trend at Olympia. Ultimately, Kalecinski has Queiroz taking third, Vissers in fourth, and former two-time Olympia winner Breon Ansley in the fifth-place spot.
- Winner — Urs Kalecinski
- Second Place — Chris Bumstead
- Third Place — Ramon Queiroz
- Fourth Place — Wesley Visssers
- Fifth Place — Breon Ansley

Kalecinski certainly has a few strengths that other contenders lack in spades. Mainly, his posing and stage presence. Kalecinski, the son of a ballet dancer, understands how to leverage his body on stage with movement, making his routines not only memorable but creative and packed with entertainment value.
Aside from his posing prowess, Kalecinski’s ability to get shredded makes him dangerous, especially when it comes to his lower body. His quads, glutes, and hamstrings are among his biggest strengths, which could spell trouble for fellow threats on stage. With unwavering confidence that he can defeat Bumstead, fans have quickly gotten behind Kalecinski.
While the odds of Kalecinski winning are questionable considering he took third last year at the Olympia, he doesn’t believe the goal is outside of his grasp. Should he marry the ideal combination of mass and conditioning, courtesy of the new height and weight cap in Classic Physique, he could make a play for the number one spot when the curtains rise in Las Vegas, Nevada. Don’t miss the 2024 Mr. Olympia contest later this year to find out if his predictions come true.
