2025 African Weightlifting Championships
The 2025 African Weightlifting Championships began on 20 April 2025, with 91 lifters in 20 classes. Gold went to Havotriniaina Joseph Rakotomandimby (55 kg, 211 kg), Amine Bouhijbha (61 kg, 242 kg), Ahmed Said Mahmoud (67 kg, 281 kg), Karem Ben Hnia (73 kg, 318 kg), Abdelrahman Younes (81 kg, 345 kg), Jeremie Junior Ngouanom Nzali (89 kg, 328 kg), Farid Saadi (96 kg, 315 kg), Khelwin Juboo (102 kg, 298 kg), Junior Ngadja Nyabeyeu (109 kg, 367 kg) and Maik Lahamadi Ezzedine (+109 kg, 322 kg) for the men, and Maysa Khadraoui (45 kg, 124 kg), Basma Ramadan Abdelwahab Gunaidy (49 kg, 156 kg), Onome Didih (55 kg, 203 kg), Rafiatu Lawal (59 kg, 213 kg), Ruth Ayodele (64 kg, 213 kg), Ketty Lent (71 kg, 209 kg), Sarah Matthew (76 kg, 237 kg), Marie Megan Anastajia Babet (81 kg, 157 kg), Jeanne Gaëlle Eyenga Mbo'ossi (87 kg, 219 kg) and Amina Yahia Mamoun (+87 kg, 208 kg) for the women.
