The 2023 Sasquatch Pro took place on September 9 and featured competitors from the Men’s Physique, Figure, and Bikini categories vying for supremacy in Federal Way, Washington. This event was a Mr. Olympia qualifier.
There are fewer chances and routes available to earn a qualification for this year’s 2023 Mr. Olympia competition, taking over Orlando, Florida from Nov. 2-5. Unlike in seasons prior, the point system is no longer in effect and there were fewer months to guarantee a spot on the sport’s biggest stage, making this weekend’s show critical for some competitors.
Following an exciting show, three winners were crowned champs of their respective divisions. Edvan Palmeira claimed gold in Men’s Physique and will face the reigning Olympia champ Erin Banks in the months to come. Meanwhile, Wendy Fortino took home gold in Figure with one of her best packages to date. Then, Tamekia Carter pulled off the win in the finals to become the 2023 Sasquatch Pro Bikini champion!

2023 Sasquatch Pro Results Breakdown
Men’s Physique
The Men’s Physique portion of the event made for an entertaining display of action. In prejudging and finals, Alexander Toplyn and Edvan Palmeira stood out, which made it difficult to determine who was further ahead as both presented top-tier conditioning. Toplyn narrowly took silver in his last outing when he fell short of defeating Jonas Jamena at the 2023 Musclecontest Pacific Pro USA.
Meanwhile, Palmeira is a proven contender among the elite in Men’s Physique. He last took fifth at the 2022 Olympia contest in December. In the end, the completeness of Edvan Palmeira’s physique won him another title.

Figure
Ladies from Figure stormed the stage in Washington with stellar looks, and the crowd took notice. Nicole Zenobia Graham and veteran Wendy Fortino commanded the audience and presented aesthetic blends of musculature and conditioning. Wendy Fortino was in the running for gold at her last contest (2023 Musclecontest Zhanna Rotar Pro) but ultimately finished third, however, she was eager to evolve in her next outing.
In Fortino’s way was Nicole Zenobia Graham. She last finished sixth on the 2022 Olympia stage. While it was a close contest that saw a few sways in momentum, Wendy Fortino won the Figure Sasquatch Pro title!

Bikini
The 2023 Sasquatch Pro welcomed contenders from the Bikini division, who all put on a show with stage presentation and hourglass silhouettes. Malu Duarte and Tamekia Carter appeared to be frontrunners for gold during the prejudging rounds. Malu Duarte last stepped on stage in second place at the 2023 Musclecontest Irongames Pro on Sept. 2.
To Duarte’s side was Tamekia Carter. She last appeared at the stacked 2023 Texas Pro, where she brought one of her best and most balanced looks to date. This performance earned her third place so she came into this contest with some extra motivation to make a statement. Following an exciting few comparisons, Tameika Carter pulled off the win and became a Bikini Sasquatch Pro champion!
