With the 2023 CrossFit Games behind us already, all of the top athletes turned their focus to what is the next biggest competition of the year — the 2023 Rogue CrossFit Invitational. It will be held at the Dell Diamond Stadium in Texas on two days, October 27-28. So, with one month left until the start of the competition, the organizers have decided to release the full list of competitors for both the men’s and women’s divisions.
Each of the two divisions at the 2023 Rogue CrossFit Invitational will consist of 20 athletes. Moreover, 15 of the athletes in each division earned a direct invite, while the other five had to secure their spot through online qualifiers. Men’s Lineup Overview
The first thing that stands out in the men’s lineup is the absence of the 2022 Rogue CrossFit Invitational champion, Justin Medeiros. Justin is definitely having the season he desires, having finished in 13th place at the 2023 CrossFit Games. So, he decided to take a break, which should help him do a mental reset.

However, we will watch the 2023 CrossFit Games Champion, and thus the Fittest Man On Earth, Jeffrey Adler, in action. The Canadian athlete is in the best shape of his life and hopes to make this a perfect season with a win at the 2023 Rogue CrossFit Invitational as well.
Jeffrey Adler will not have an easy job to do, as his biggest rival from the 2023 CrossFit Games has plans of his own. The man in question is Roman Khrennikov, who finished in second place at the Games, but only after suffering an injury and losing the lead he had. Luckily, Roman should be back in full health by the time the 2023 Rogue CrossFit Invitational starts.
Among the favorites for the title is another Canadian athlete, Patrick Vellner. Known as arguably the greatest CrossFit athlete who never won the CrossFit Games, Patrick is hoping to at least take gold at the 2023 Rogue CrossFit Invitational. Patrick has stood at the podium of the 2023 CrossFit Games five times in total (3x Silver, 2x Bronze). So, he is more than capable of matching any other athlete in the world.

Women’s Lineup Overview
The biggest and most pleasant surprise in the women’s division is undoubtedly the comeback of Tia-Clair Toomey. The 6x Fittest Woman On Earth had to put her reign in CrossFit on pause due to pregnancy, but having given birth to a baby girl a few months ago, she is now ready to take back her titles. Moreover, Tia-Clair won three Rogue CrossFit Invitational titles (2019, 2020, 2021), but did not participate in 2022.
The woman who took the 2022 Rogue CrossFit Invitational title in the absence of Tia-Clair was Laura Horvath. The Hungarian CrossFitter will now be attempting to defend her title this year, which is not unlikely considering that she won the 2023 CrossFit Games not too long ago.
Apart from Laura and Tia-Clair, we have one extremely young athlete who has been getting better with each new appearance. We are obviously talking about Emma Lawson, who grabbed silver at the 2023 CrossFit Games and looks to be one of the greatest competitors in the future.

Many other men and women could contend for the title at the 2023 Rogue CrossFit Invitational, but the ones mentioned above seem to be the most likely. The incentive for good performances will definitely be large, as the total prize purse for the competition currently stands at $1,496,807. So, with that much money on the line, all of the athletes will leave their blood, sweat, and tears on the competition floor.
