As a retired bodybuilder, Seth Feroce can put his money where his mouth is considering his knowledge and experience in fitness. In a recent YouTube video, Feroce challenged himself and his fans to lift weights until they reach 20,000 pounds as quickly as possible.

Seth Feroce was a prominent figure in the bodybuilding scene during the 2000s who enjoyed a successful career marked by his muscular prowess and strength. Following a decade of competitive bodybuilding seasons, Feroce gracefully retired from the professional stage with his health intact.

In his post-competitive life, he has remained dedicated to physical training, redirecting his focus from aesthetic pursuits to prioritizing health and longevity. Beyond the spotlight, Feroce transitioned from a celebrated bodybuilder to a proponent of balanced and sustainable fitness.

That being said, he recently decided to test his strength and endurance with a ‘hero’ workout designed by the late, Christopher Pickford.

“So the video you’re about to watch is me completing 20,000 pounds lifted cumulatively between squats, deadlifts, and bench press with 135. In order to get to 20,000 pounds with 135 pounds, you have to get 150 reps. So 150 reps is the goal.”

Bodybuilder Seth Feroce Tests Endurance and Strength by Lifting 20,000 Pounds in 6 Minutes

Seth Feroce shared a new challenge for himself which included lifting over 20,000 pounds in under six minutes using only squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. This is how he did it.

“So, by the title of this video, you’re like lifting 20,000 pounds, what the fuck are you talking about? So, I post my hero workouts every single day in my Instagram stories and last night’s was the Christopher Pickford, in which you had to lift 20,000 pounds.”

Feroce elaborates on how he accomplished the jaw-dropping feat of strength.

“You have to pick a weight on the barbell and lift that cumulatively to get to 20,000 pounds. Any exercises you want. So I was like okay, bench, squat, deadlift. I can do all those and I can do a lot of them, anywhere between 135 and 225 pounds but how quick can you get that done.”

“How quick can I get to 20,000 pounds. That’s the challenge of the workout. Just exhaust yourself doing it that way. So I was like fuck yeah. I can do that. I bet you I know I can do a shit load of squats. My total the best I ever got with Seth Tour last year was 225 I did it 41 times. I can get 50 with 135 and still not be gassed. So 135 is the number.”

After completing the workout, Feroce reviewed his work:

“Six minutes and one second. I lost count and I ended up doing 155 reps with 135 to get to a grand total of 20,000 pounds in like 20,950 pounds or some shit like that I think is what it was.”

“Gassed. Put myself through it. My thing is, I think this is one that everybody could do,” said Seth Feroce.

In his quest to maintain a healthy and toned physique, Seth Feroce has been setting new fitness goals for himself and has even contemplated making a return to the competitive stage. Feroce’s physique has also transformed with the help of his high-intensity training workouts, which have also been utilized by decorated bodybuilding legend Dorian Yates.

Even though Feroce hung up his posing trunks, it’s evident he has retained most of his strength since stepping away from the bright lights. He hopes his viewers will attempt the ambitious fitness challenge on the horizon.
