In a recent Instagram post shared on August 16, 2024, Sharpe showcased his power at age 56 with heavy sets of flat bench barbell chest presses for reps. He gradually increased the weight from 221.3 pounds to ultimately his last set, which totaled a staggering 309.5 pounds.
After retiring from a successful career as a tight end for the NFL, ranking third in tight end receptions, and earning a place in the Football Hall of Fame in 2011, Shannon Sharpe hasn’t fumbled his fitness. At 56, Sharpe showcases his incredible strength inside the gym, smashing hardcore back workouts and pushing through brutal leg day training sessions with bodybuilding coach Milos Sarcev.
In case you didn’t know, Sarcev is responsible for training bodybuilding standouts Regan Grimes, Behrooz Tabani, and Samson Dauda, who earned third place at the 2023 Mr. Olympia. It’s safe to say that Sharpe is learning from the best of the best with regard to his training practices.

In his latest offering on Instagram, Sharpe boasted an impressive chest workout, knocking out flat bench barbell chest presses starting from 221.3 pounds and working his way up to 309.55 pounds.
