Ramon Rocha “Dino” Queiroz collapsed to his knees on the Resorts World stage Saturday night (Oct. 11), overcome with emotion as years of heartbreak finally transformed into triumph at the 2025 Olympia stage.
The Brazilian bodybuilder had finally captured the Classic Physique Olympia title, becoming the division’s fourth champion and the first to claim the vacant throne following Chris Bumstead’s retirement.
“I dreamt of this moment a lot of times,” Queiroz said during his victory interview with MC Bob Cicherillo. “Thank God. A lot of time, a lot of time, I told you, say my name, brother. You said it today.”
For years, Queiroz had been Classic Physique’s ultimate bridesmaid — consistently placing in the top five during Bumstead’s dominant six-year reign but never able to break through for the ultimate prize.

Queiroz’s path to the Olympia title began in his native Brazil, where he first discovered bodybuilding as a teenager.
His exceptional genetics and aesthetic structure quickly set him apart, leading to rapid success in regional competitions before earning his IFBB Pro card at the 2018 IFBB Amateur Olympia Brazil.
Ramon’s Classic Physique debut came in 2021, and he established himself as a permanent fixture in the division’s upper echelon the very same year.
Year after year, Queiroz brought improvements, refining his physique and presentation, yet the Olympia gold medal remained elusive. Fifth place in 2021, second in 2022 and 2023, and fourth in 2024 – each placing a reminder that he was among the best, but not yet the best.
Chris Bumstead’s retirement after the 2024 Olympia changed everything, as the throne was now vacant. Ramon seized this opportunity to claim his first O title.
Prejudging Excellence
From the moment Queiroz walked out for quarter turns in the prejudging round, it was clear this was a different competitor than in years past.
The improvements were subtle but significant. He displayed better conditioning through his midsection, enhanced detail in his back, and most importantly, a newfound confidence in his presentation.
The prejudging comparisons revealed a three-man race between Queiroz, Mike Sommerfeld, and Terrence Ruffin. Each brought distinct qualities: Sommerfeld’s incredible conditioning despite his dramatic 14-pound weight cut, Ruffin’s artistic posing mastery, and Queiroz’s overall balance and proportion.
What separated Queiroz during these crucial comparisons was his completeness. While others might have possessed superior individual body parts or specific strengths, Queiroz presented no weaknesses.
The Finals Transformation
The finals witnessed Queiroz elevate his game to another level. The Brazilian champion visibly tightened between prejudging and finals, with striations and muscle definition becoming more pronounced under the bright lights of Resorts World Theatre.
Most significantly, Queiroz had finally addressed the consistent criticism he’d received from judges over the years: his posing and presentation.
He previously rushed through transitions or failed to hold poses long enough for judges to fully appreciate his physique. This time, he flowed beautifully between positions, strategically showcasing his strongest angles while maintaining the grace expected of Classic Physique competitors.
A New Era Begins
As the division’s fourth champion, joining Danny Hester (2016), Breon Ansley (2017-2018), and Chris Bumstead (2019-2024), Queiroz has the opportunity to define what Classic Physique becomes in the post-Bumstead era.
The division exploded in popularity during Bumstead’s reign, attracting new fans and elevating the sport’s profile globally. Now, that mantle passes to the Brazilian champion.
