Ali Bilal has now finished second at the Men’s Physique Olympia three years in a row. He came to Las Vegas to change that, and he did not hide it.
“Every athlete is here to win,” he told Tony Doherty of NPC News Online after Saturday’s finals. Then he added the line that sums up where he stands.
“Being second in the world is not bad,” Bilal said.
Seven behind Terry, one ahead of Holden
Men’s Physique is decided at prejudging; under IFBB Pro League rules the finals were not scored this year. Ryan Terry won on 5 points (lowest wins). Bilal scored 12, seven behind Terry and one ahead of Kyron Holden’s 13. Our 2026 Mr. Olympia scorecard explainer covers how each division is scored.
The two had met this season: Holden beat Bilal at the Pittsburgh Pro, and Bilal said he was glad to have come back from that loss. He won the New York Pro this year too.
Nothing left undone
Bilal said he had no regrets about his preparation.
“I didn’t cheat on the diet. I didn’t miss the workout. I showed up. I did my posing,” he said.
He said the athletes keep getting better every year, and he counts himself among the younger generation. “I’m one of the younger guys,” he said. Asked if he is still hungry, he answered, “Always hungry.”
Ninth, then three straight silvers
Bilal made his Olympia debut in 2022 and finished ninth. He placed outside the top 15 in 2023, then took second in 2024, 2025 and 2026, each time behind Terry.
His message for the fans was simple. “I love you all, man,” he said. “I’m sorry to disappoint you. Hopefully, next year it’s going to be a gold medal.”
