2x Arnold Classic

Candice Lewis-Carter

StatusRetired

Candice Lewis-Carter won the Arnold Classic figure title in 2017 and again in 2018. She finished on the Olympia podium five years running and never won it. Her recorded career runs from 2008 to 2018.

Known for

Back-to-back Arnold Classic titles in 2017 and 2018, with the Arnold Classic Australia in both of the same years. Four Arnold titles across two seasons.

The Olympia record reads third in 2014, third in 2015, second in 2016, third in 2017 and second in 2018. Five consecutive podiums is a longer run than most champions manage, and she was never higher than second.

Early career

She won her class at the 2008 Tournament of Champions and the Pacific USA Championships, then the California Championships in 2011, which is where the professional card came from.

2012 was the breakout: she won the Masters Olympia figure title, the Pro World Championships, the Houston Pro, the Miami Pro, the Omaha Pro and the Fort Lauderdale Pro in a single season. Six professional wins in a debut year is close to unheard of.

Where the titles came from

Counted from the same results table below: an appearance is one contest entered (in the years the Olympia also judged weight classes, one appearance can carry two placings), an Olympia title is the overall win in that division, and Top 3 counts first, second and third together. The last row is every professional contest on record for Candice Lewis-Carter.

Where these results come from. Each contest in the table was recorded from a named source, and for Candice Lewis-Carter those sources are NPC Contests and MuscleMemory. Open any contest above and that page names its own source and links to it where the source is still reachable. MuscleMemory is the exception: the archive we recorded those older shows from no longer answers at the addresses we hold, so it is credited by name and not offered as a link.

Legacy

Lewis-Carter belongs to the group of competitors whose record only looks incomplete next to a title. Two Arnold Classics, a Masters Olympia and five straight Olympia podiums is a career most figure competitors would take.

In 12 meetings, Candice Lewis-Carter finished ahead of Cydney Gillon 10 times to 2.

Opponents are ranked by how often they shared a stage and how big the stage was, not by reputation. A meeting is one contest where both competed in the same division and both were placed.

Sources

Competition placings on this page come from our own contest database and cover her record from 2008 to 2018.

She is recorded here under the slug candice-lewis, which predates the name she competed under in her later seasons.

Win rate here is first-place finishes as a share of all 32 professional contest results. It is published only where a career holds at least five, because below that a single placing moves the figure by twenty points or more.
