Summer is here, leading everyone, including Hollywood’s biggest names, to get in some sun and exercise. In a recent post shared via Instagram on June 21, 2025, Dave Bautista showed off his downsized and shredded physique.

Having once weighed a hulking 370 pounds in film, fans have been shocked to see Dave Bautista‘s dramatic physique transformation. In 2024, he revealed he was tipping the scale at around 240 pounds, with a renewed focus on sporting a leaner, muscular body.

Bautista is an icon in the fitness and entertainment industry, responsible for one of the most memorable professional wrestling careers of all time. He established himself alongside other heavy hitters in the sport, like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. His transition into the acting sphere has been eye-opening, especially after starring as Drax The Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Bautista’s popularity extends beyond acting projects and the wrestling sector; he’s also made headlines courtesy of his athleticism and fit physique. For his recent endeavor, The Killer’s Game, it was required for Bautista to drop a considerable amount of weight, as he revealed, “This is probably the lightest I’ve been since I was 19 years old.” It appears that in 2025, Bautista is still keen on staying trim, lean, and shredded, based on his latest post via social media.

“Summer job. 2025” shared Dave Bautista.

Bautista has remained a die-hard fan of bodybuilding and the sport’s biggest show of the year, the prestigious Mr. Olympia. Over the years, he’s served as a high-profile ambassador for the event, including its recent 60th anniversary weekend, which ultimately saw a new Men’s Open champion emerge in Samson Dauda.

Bautista isn’t the only action actor keen on staying in tremendous shape well into his fifties. Australian actor Hugh Jackman has made waves thanks to his steady gains inside the gym. He recently showed off a demanding deadlift training session, which has allowed him to stay fit and ready for any movie roles that might come down the pipeline.

Aside from actors, even prolific bodybuilders have taken a page out of Bautista’s book. Champions like Flex Lewis, Dexter Jackson, and Roelly Winklaar have all downsized their physiques since retiring from the stage. Measures like these might allow them to live longer and healthier lives.

Dave Bautista continues to make his acting career a top priority. Time will tell if his new lean physique allows him to pick up some extra movie roles on the horizon.
