The 2022 Olympia, held between Dec. 15-18 in Las Vegas, NV, hosted the 10th edition of the Men’s Physique Olympia. The competition in the Men’s Physique division gets stiffer with every passing year, and 68 athletes locked horns at the 2022 Olympia to seize the Men’s Physique throne.
Erin Banks, Diogo Montenegro, Kyron Holden, Ryan Terry, and Raymont Edmonds were considered the frontrunners to dethrone the reigning champ. However, it was Banks who emerged as the victor in his sophomore year at the Olympia when the dust settled.
While Hendrickson looked in total control as soon as he stepped on the O stage, Banks pushed over the reigning champ to claim his maiden Men’s Physique Olympia title.
Banks’ victory at the 2022 Olympia makes him the fifth bodybuilder to hoist the Men’s Physique Olympia trophy in the division’s history.

The first Men’s Physique pre-judging callout consists of eight athletes, including Banks, Ali Bilal, Charjo Grant, Kyron Holden, Diogo Montenegro, Corey Morris, Ryan Terry, and Hendrickson.
The 2022 Arnold Classic champ Erin Banks brought the heat to the Olympia stage with his perfect balance, shape, symmetry, and conditioning. Banks was also the runner-up at the 2021 Olympia behind champ Hendrickson.
Although Diogo Montenegro didn’t compete since his third-place finish at the 2021 Olympia, he showed up with a great package. His muscle size, conditioning, and balance were on point. He took home the third-place at the 2022 Mr. O.
Three-time Arnold Classic Men’s Physique champ Andre Ferguson displayed a great package. He had great size, shape, balance, symmetry, and conditioning. He came to the 2022 Mr. O after a win at the 2022 Atlantic Coast Pro. However, he couldn’t crack the top three.
Former AC Men’s Physique champ Ryan Terry also made a comeback at the 2022 Olympia. His signature shape, balance, and conditioning made him a frontrunner for the 2022 Men’s Physique title. However, a year’s gap seemed to have worked against him.
Banks and Hendrickson were in the final callout during the pre-judging round, making them the favorites to win the show. However, Banks hit the ball out of the park in the finals.
Banks hit his peak at the 2022 O. He had perfect symmetry, balance, and conditioning, which helped him seize his maiden Olympia title.
Finals
Hendrickson has one of the best backs in the Men’s Physique category. His 3D shoulders accentuate his V-taper and make his waist look smaller. Hendrickson’s symmetry, size, and balance make him stand out in any lineup.
However, it wasn’t enough to hold back Banks. The new Men’s Physique O champ has a massive frame and always shows up conditioned at the Olympia. Banks has clear and clean lines, which display his muscle separation in its full glory.
We congratulate Banks on his maiden Olympia victory!
